Willowtree Sculpture Garden


Nature is the superb backdrop in this sanctuary of creativity for sculptors to display their creative talent and artists to discover or expand their creativity.

The Sculpture Garden is open to the public to enjoy an art and garden experience every third Saturday of the month coinciding with the Laggan Markets or by appointment.

They offer opportunities for creative exploration through their Art Exhibitions and Art Workshops as a community of Artists and Artisans. All exhibition sculptures are available for sale. A meandering sculpture path invites visitors to experience the peacefulness and grandeur of the established trees.

Their Retreat packages assist you to take time out in Nature to be still, to unwind and relax or understand your life transitions in a nurturing and supportive environment.

'Music at Sunset Events' allows you to connect and celebrate in nature with friends and family.

Their Garden is a unique space to create your own special event to celebrate your relationship or a special occasion.

Anna and Rachael offer you a special seat around their extended table, with fresh produce from the garden or locally produced food to nourish your body and your mind during the workshops and retreats.

Lindner Sock Factory


Lindner Sock Factory and Shop is situated in the main street of Crookwell. A family owned and operated business, their fourth generation sock-maker produces a variety of sock styles on site, in both wool and cotton. Come and see their machines in action, and browse through their huge range of colours and styles in the Sock Shop.

They also make a full range of loose top socks, which are great for diabetics or anyone who experiences circulation problems. Alpaca socks are also available.

Bush Poetry at Laggan Pub


Bush Poets are alive and well at the Laggan Pub. Calling all bush poets and musicians!

Join Mike and Elaine as they coordinate an evening of bush poetry and song at the Laggan Pub, the first Wednesday of each month. Arrive at 7pm for a 7.30pm start.

Of course all bush poets love an appreciative audience and the night is open to everyone to come and enjoy the evening in a warm convivial atmosphere at the Laggan Pub.

Laggan was named by Governor Macquarie after his childhood home in Scotland. The pretty, charming village of Laggan was established in the 1850s.

Laggan Village Markets


Every third Saturday of the month, the Laggan Memorial Hall hosts the Laggan Village Markets, boasting a wide array of goods from home baked cakes to plants and an impressive range of gift items.

Bag-a-Bargain


Each May, the residents of the Upper Lachlan Shire come together to form the Bag-a-Bargain Garage Sale Trail, which can stretch from Collector to Gunning, out to Dalton and Jerrawa, up to Grabben Gullen, and onto Crookwell, Binda, Bigga, Tuena, Laggan and Taralga.

Sales are held by a wide variety of people both in and out of town, ensuring a great range of products for sale, from antiques and collectables to furniture and whitegoods.

All garage sale sites are listed in the Bag-A-Bargain Maps publication which is released online the night before, and in print at various locations around the shire.
