Cudal

In the shadow of Mount Canobolas, about 40km west of the big provincial city of Orange in central NSW, Cudal is surrounded by mixed farming ventures, vineyards and deer farms.

The prime recreational playground of Lake Canobolas, just a few kilometres east, attracts both locals and visitors for swimming, fishing, boating, picnics and BBQs.

There are some challenging walking tracks in the Mount Canobolas Park flora and fauna reserve, where a rough old road winds up to the mountain summit which, on clear days, affords stunning views in all directions.

Sweetness Your Lolly Shop and Gelato

Sweetness Your Lolly Shop and Gelato is run by sisters with great memories of their local sweet store when they were kids. Going into the local supermarket and walking down the lollie aisle just does not provide the same experience. It was for this reason they decided to open up this locally owned and family run lolly shop.

They sell lollies and drinks from all over the world including America, New Zealand, England, Dutch, Belgium (chocolates) and Australia.

In mid 2013, as the business was growing, they expanded into a larger shop and started selling over 32 flavours of gelato. They also created their old fashioned parlour with retro booths, and complete with music appropriate to this era. They began selling soft serve ice cream thick shakes, banana splits, spiders, tea and coffee, and slices and scones.

Come along to share this old fashioned friendly experience.
