Blue Mountains Charleston Challenge

The world-famous Hydro Majestic Hotel has taken up the gauntlet (in elegant art deco style, of course) thrown down by Swing patrol in London by announcing a take-back attempt of the annual Charleston Challenge world record retro dance.

Swing Patrol took the Guinness World Record in October 2015 with 975 dancers after the Blue Mountains had held the title for three years in a row.

They want it back!

The Blue Mountains Charleston Challenge is a traditional highlight of the annual Roaring 20s and all that Jazz Festival, held throughout February at various venues in the Blue Mountains.

Any group (including dance schools, schools and social groups) which brings more than 10 participants will have their brochures displayed on the day and receive recognition in the event program.

To take part, simply follow these three simple steps - register via the given email address, practice the dance routine, and spread the word!
