The markets, which have been running since 2005, are hosted by the Millthorpe Public School P and C Committee, with all funds raised assisting to purchase ongoing educational tools for the School.

The markets are well established and have been called 'the best in the region' by both the stall holders and the thousands of market goers who attend each year. Stall holders come from far and wide to sell their produce in the beautiful surrounds of Redmond Oval. Everything from clothing, jewellery, toys, arts and crafts, woodwork, second hand goods, gourmet and fresh produce, cake stalls, plants, and Christmas decorations are available.

Start near Towac Pinnacle Picnic Grounds (off Pinnacle Road) you first visit Mt Towac (a steep section but the views make it worth the effort) and then to Young Man Canobolas before the final climb to Mt Canobolas (also steep).

It takes in spectacular views from the forestry roads and then on to little used bush tracks through beautiful woodland. Total course climb is 520m. Individual, Team or Family group entries. 12th year for this event. It will also incorporate the 2017 NSW Mountain Running Championship.
