Chalkers Crossing Winery

All Chalkers Crossing wines are processed at their winery just north of Young.

Chalkers Crossing winemaker, Celine Rousseau, was born in France, studied in Paris, and trained in Bordeaux. She gained experience in Bordeaux, Champange, St Emilion and Languedoc in France, and in the Margaret River and Perth Hills in Western Australia before coming to the Hilltops Region in 2000 for the first Chalkers Crossing vintage.

Take a tour of this award winning modern winery, and enjoy tasting the premium cool climate wines produced with grapes sourced from the Hilltops region.

Chalker's Crossing are open from Monday to Thursday and on Friday by appointment. Groups welcome.

Iandra Castle

Iandra Castle is a large homestead near the village of Greenethorpe, about a 30 minute drive from Grenfell.

Iandra Castle is not open to the public normally. The castle generally holds a few open days throughout the year, normally occurring on the Sunday of a long weekend. Iandra Castle will also open for groups and coach tours on request.
Iandra Castle was built between 1908 and 1910 in the Federation Romanesque style by the pioneering engineer Edward Giles Stone. The homestead, with the surrounding agricultural property is a rare example in Australia of the manorial system.

The dwelling along with the surrounding stables, church and residences were listed on the New South Wales State Heritage Register in 2005.

Australia Day NSW

Bribbaree Annual Show

Come and experience an authentic country show at Bribbaree Showground near Young. Bribbaree's annual show includes a range of activities such as horse events, pavilion exhibits, Dogs NSW show, Yard Dog trials, side shows, and food and produce stalls. Young Picnic Races

The Young Picnic Races is a six event program featuring the Burrangong Picnic Race Cup. Full bar and TAB facilities (strictly no BYO alcohol or glasses). Fashions on the Field competition.

Bring your own picnic lunch, or barbecue available on the grounds. Gates open at 12 noon, and shuttle buses will leave from the Empire Hotel from 11.45am.

After Party following the last race for members and their guests only.
