Hall Family Orchards

The Hall Family has been growing cherries for three generations and the fourth generation are already heavily involved in all facets of the business. In 2016, they decided to offer their customers the unique opportunity to "Pick Your Own" or purchase prepacked boxes of premium cherries direct from their newly built farm gate shop. In the past their cherries have been sent direct to Sydney and Brisbane markets where they have been sold to supermarkets or exported overseas. They now want to share their passion for growing beautiful cherries and enjoy the experience with their customers.

Their Orchard is immaculate with manicured lawn down each row and they practice the latest in biological farming to achieve their quality. They offer the best varieties based on their firmness, flavour and size. Each cherry variety is tested by the family to pass the test and only then is it offered to their customers.

Bring a picnic blanket or sit under the beautiful deciduous trees and enjoy the ultimate premium cherry experience from their farm gate.

Lambing Flat Chinese Tribute Garden

The Lambing Flat Chinese Tribute Gardens are located at the Chinaman's Dam reserve just four kilometres from the town centre. Now a well established garden set in a quiet, relaxing and picturesque site, the gardens are the perfect spot for a relaxing morning or afternoon with picnic facilities and barbecues.

After crossing the bridge to the garden and passing the marble lion sculptures guarding the garden entrance, make your way to the garden viewing platform and sit and relax overlooking the garden and the Pool of Tranquillity.

The development of the gardens began in 1992 and was established to recognise the contribution of the Chinese community to the settlement of Young in the 1860s, and to the ongoing contributions of the Chinese community to Australia as a Nation.
