Established in 1984, Tinonee Orchid Nursery is one of Australia's leading orchid nurseries. They specialise in the breeding and propagation of many genera of orchids, from native Australian orchids to most of the popular genera from many other countries around the world.

Cultural talks and morning tea facilities are available. Wheelchair accessible, with buses and club groups welcome. Free monthly growing classes and advice. Free catalogue and cultural notes are available on request.

During the year an open day is held which includes potting demonstrations and advice from experienced growers. Light refreshments and food are available.

Kings Creek Saddle Club

Kings Creek Saddle Club teach students how to handle and ride a horse safely and effectively and learn how to properly care for horses and form a bond with one.

They promote balance and co-ordination, patience, perseverance and interaction with the animals allowing you to form an understanding of basic horse behaviour and personality. The three lovely school horses, 'Tallulah', 'Felicity' and 'Skeeter' were bred, started and educated by Carla and Spud.

Kings Creek Saddle Club provide riding lessons for riders of all stages of development. Various types of private lessons are available - ridden, ground play, in the arena and along forest trails. They also cover the non-riding aspects of horses such as handling, natural behaviour and tack fitting which will help the rider develop a deeper understanding and form a firm bond with their horse.

Wingham Annual Show

The 131st Wingham Annual Show will be three days full of competitions and rides with all the fun of a true agricultural show. Wood chopping, chainsaw competitions, a cattle section and campdrafting.

Popular exhibits will be on show in the Exhibition Hall and also, the popular poultry sections, for the children to enjoy. The Friday night Rodeo will have the crowd on their feet with all the excitement happening in the rodeo ring.

Saturday will be the People's Family Fun Day from 8am right through until the fireworks at 7.30pm.

A crowd favourite, the Demo Derby will be on Saturday afternoon followed by the fireworks spectacular. The main ring will come to life with families filling all vantage points for a view of the action once again.

There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Wingham Show in March 2016.

Wingham Beef Week

Wingham Beef Week has been running since 1987 and is now in its 29th year in 2016. Starting with the Junior Field Days on Monday and finishing with the Beef Barons Ball, there are parades and competitions held all week. With the support of their sponsors, local schools and the beef producers of the Manning Valley, they've put together a great program of events to get everyone involved in the festivities.

Wingham Summertime Rodeo

Prepare for some adrenalin pumping events at Wingham Showground when the Wingham Summertime Rodeo comes to town.

The Rodeo attracts thousands of visitors who witness amazing action in the arena. There will be food and a licensed bar area (proof of age is required), amusement rides, stalls and a live band till late. Bar licensed to 11pm.

Don't forget that no alcohol or glass bottles are to be brought onto the grounds. No gazebos or tarps are to be erected on the Rodeo bank.

Gates open at 12 noon for Slack Round and Main Event starts at 6pm, so don't miss out - gates will close when the arena area is full.
