Park Beach


Coffs Harbour's main surf beach is patrolled daily during most of the summer as Park Beach is the home for the Coffs Harbour Surf Life Saving Club.

Park Beach is a popular area for water sports, fishermen, and surfers. Swimmers should be aware Park Beach can be prone to strong rips particularly at the creek mouth. Park Beach is within close proximity to camping facilities, hotel and motel accommodation, cafes, restaurants, and the local shopping facilities.

North Coast Regional Botanic Garden


The North Coast Regional Botanic Garden is renowned for its natural bushland as well as exotic species. Wheelchair accessible paths and board walks lead to garden sections featuring rare and endangered species, naturally occurring mangroves, rainforest, native flora and exotic plantings.

Glasshouses contain rare displays of bromeliads, orchids, cacti and tropical species. The sensory garden adjacent to the glasshouses is a showcase for roses, herbs, and other plants that 'tickle the senses'.

Covering 20 hectares, the garden lies in a bend of Coffs Creek at the end of Hardacre Street off Harbour Drive, just one kilometre from the city centre, a subtropical haven and an extension of Coffs Creek Walk.

The Garden Cafe opens on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10.30am for light lunches and snacks.

Coffs Harbour Running Festival


The Bendigo Bank Coffs Harbour Running Festival is a community event for people of all ages and abilities and consists of a 21.1 kilometre half marathon, 10 kilometre fun run, five kilometre fun run, and a three kilometre family fun run/walk.

Held on a bush trail on the Coffs Creek Walkway, the flat, shady course is ideal for runners. The picturesque track hugs the beautiful Coffs Creek and competitors run over floating boardwalks, through swamp forests of mangrove, casuarina and paperbark trees, from the centre of town to the coast and back.

The event raises funds for local children's charities including Life Education Australia, Coffs Coast Autism, Camp Quality, Early Connections Coffs Harbour and St John Ambulance.
