Not a Cafe is a beautiful shop in Wingham that sells all things local. It is Wingham's hub of creativity, assisting people to sell wares that have been made with love in the Manning Valley. It is where you will find local art, photography, books, toys, clothes, jewellery, soaps, woodwork, metalwork, craft and more!

Not a Cafe also has a music room that has been designed to give local musicians somewhere to both sell their music and perform on a regular basis. The music room gives everyone, locals and visitors, the chance to browse through CDs and listen to music they're interested in via tablets/headphones. You're invited to come in and browse or spend time kicking back on the lounge taking in the arty surrounds or listen to the live music when it's happening.

Ellenborough Falls


Ellenborough Falls is located on the Bulga Plateau at Elands, one hour's drive north-west of Taree on Tourist Drive 8, and are a spectacular site. At 200 metres, it is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere.

A timbered walkway (641 steps) wends to the bottom of the falls, complete with rest spots, providing a comfortable 30 minute walk. There is also a 10 minute walk to The Knoll which has magnificent views looking directly across to the falls.

You can drive from Wingham to the falls in approximately 45 minutes, however there are 15 kilometres of unsealed road from Bobin to the falls so please drive to the conditions of the unsealed road.

Please note that load limits have been imposed on two bridges between Wingham and Marlee. These limits are 12 tonnes on the Duffs Bridge and eight tonnes on the Marlee Bridge.

Edgey's Manor


Edgey's Manor is a Celtic Britain themed destination. It offers visitors a relaxed atmosphere to dine-in for breakfast and lunch (takeaway available).

In the spacious Great Hall, you'll see a number of historical displays including a replica of William Wallace's sword. Edgey's Manor also offer activities such as gentle exercise classes and historical games. Regular evening functions are held with a medieval theme.

As well as stocking a range of British Candy, the gift shop (named the Viking's Hoard) offers a fantastic range of gifts from a variety of cultures. Edgey's Manor is located in historic Wingham, just three hours drive north of Sydney.

Wingham Self-Guided Heritage Walk


This self-guided Heritage walk around Wingham highlights a number of built and natural items significant to the history of the town. Wingham Museum is located along the walk.

The full walk is approximately five kilometres long. As a guide, it is recommended that to visit all the items of interest you allow about 2.5 hours, take drinking water with you, and wear comfortable shoes.

You may also like to allow time to visit the many cafes and shops along the route or stop at the river for a picnic lunch.

The heritage walk brochure is available at the Manning Valley Historical Museum in Farquhar Street, Wingham and the Manning Valley Visitor Information Centre on Manning River Drive, Taree.

Manning Valley Historical Society and Museum


Manning Valley Historical Society Museum and Archives is located in an historic building once used as a grocery and produce store, circa 1880. The museum overlooks Wingham Town Square (or Central Park) that is surrounded on four sides by heritage or historic buildings.

Visitors to the museum are instantly captivated by the step back in time, demonstrating the differing lifestyles pioneers had and their tools/aids.

On display are pioneer family portraits, old cedar furniture, lamp collections, scales, bottles, folk craft, clothing, fabrics, ironmongery, crockery, glassware, patent medicines and memorabilia related to our proud sporting achievements.

At the rear of the Museum is Wingham's 19th Century police cell which housed Jimmy Governor (Blacksmith) following his capture and prior to his transportation to Sydney for trial and execution.

Archive resources are also available. Researchers are in attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm.

Killabakh Day in The Country


The heart of Killabakh's close knit community is its heritage hall and each year the community gets together to raise much needed funds for this hall by presenting A Day in the Country. This is not only a great fundraiser but also a unique opportunity for people to experience Country Life.

The family friendly day out includes a huge variety of quality markets stalls - plants, local produce, a stunning choice of craft, gourmet food, books, clothes, jewellery, collectibles and great Christmas gifts; novelties and quirkiness no exception!

Homemade country cooking - lunches, morning tea and fabulous desserts, hot and cold drinks, ice-cream. A truly excellent art show and craft demonstrations will be on offer throughout the day. The day will also include live music and free activities for the kids including a chance to get up close with local farm animals.

Entry is via a gold coin donation.

Wingham Community Markets


The Wingham Community Markets are held on the second Saturday of each month, and the new revitalised markets are thriving in their new home at the Wingham Skate Park.

The markets stalls include local grown fruit and vegetables, home baked goods, plants, wine, sauces, jams and pickles.

The Wingham Akoostik Music Festival


The Wingham Akoostik Festival is a three day celebration of music showcasing local artists as well as some of Australia's best loved musicians. Previous festivals have seen performances from James Reyne, Grace Knight, Wendy Matthews, Richard Clapton and Rick Price, just to name a few.

Included over the three day event are workshops catering for all ages and interests. Camping is available for the entire weekend at the Wingham Showground.

Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival


The Manning Valley Historical Society annual Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival.

Clans from all over the country descend on the town of Wingham to enjoy a Scottish Concert on Sunday, 22nd May. From Thursday 26th, visit the genealogy fair (tutorial and research); Friday 27th, a cooking school, poet's breakfast, bus tour, baking competition, nine hole golf tournament, social bowls; and on Saturday 28th May the main festival with markets and clan stalls, street parade, Highland games, grand Scottish ball; an on Sunday 29th: blessing of the banners, barbecue breakfast, luncheon, and concert/Ceilidh.

A Mayoral reception and official opening ceremony also take place during the weekend. Some events require you to purchase a ticket - order your tickets online on the Bonnie Wingham website.

Comboyne Agricultural Show, Champion Dog Show and Mountain Goat Races


The Comboyne Show not only offers a unique program of Mountain Goat Racing but all the features of a traditional Australian Agricultural Show.

Among the pavilion exhibits visitors will see a high standard of entries in art, craft, photography, cooking, produce, flowers, and the Poultry Show. See the Comboyne Championship Dog Show on the western side of the showground.
