Not a Cafe is a beautiful shop in Wingham that sells all things local. It is Wingham's hub of creativity, assisting people to sell wares that have been made with love in the Manning Valley. It is where you will find local art, photography, books, toys, clothes, jewellery, soaps, woodwork, metalwork, craft and more!

Not a Cafe also has a music room that has been designed to give local musicians somewhere to both sell their music and perform on a regular basis. The music room gives everyone, locals and visitors, the chance to browse through CDs and listen to music they're interested in via tablets/headphones. You're invited to come in and browse or spend time kicking back on the lounge taking in the arty surrounds or listen to the live music when it's happening.

Ellenborough Falls


Ellenborough Falls is located on the Bulga Plateau at Elands, one hour's drive north-west of Taree on Tourist Drive 8, and are a spectacular site. At 200 metres, it is one of the longest single drop waterfalls in the Southern Hemisphere.

A timbered walkway (641 steps) wends to the bottom of the falls, complete with rest spots, providing a comfortable 30 minute walk. There is also a 10 minute walk to The Knoll which has magnificent views looking directly across to the falls.

You can drive from Wingham to the falls in approximately 45 minutes, however there are 15 kilometres of unsealed road from Bobin to the falls so please drive to the conditions of the unsealed road.

Please note that load limits have been imposed on two bridges between Wingham and Marlee. These limits are 12 tonnes on the Duffs Bridge and eight tonnes on the Marlee Bridge.

Edgey's Manor


Edgey's Manor is a Celtic Britain themed destination. It offers visitors a relaxed atmosphere to dine-in for breakfast and lunch (takeaway available).

In the spacious Great Hall, you'll see a number of historical displays including a replica of William Wallace's sword. Edgey's Manor also offer activities such as gentle exercise classes and historical games. Regular evening functions are held with a medieval theme.

As well as stocking a range of British Candy, the gift shop (named the Viking's Hoard) offers a fantastic range of gifts from a variety of cultures. Edgey's Manor is located in historic Wingham, just three hours drive north of Sydney.

Wingham Self-Guided Heritage Walk


This self-guided Heritage walk around Wingham highlights a number of built and natural items significant to the history of the town. Wingham Museum is located along the walk.

The full walk is approximately five kilometres long. As a guide, it is recommended that to visit all the items of interest you allow about 2.5 hours, take drinking water with you, and wear comfortable shoes.

You may also like to allow time to visit the many cafes and shops along the route or stop at the river for a picnic lunch.

The heritage walk brochure is available at the Manning Valley Historical Museum in Farquhar Street, Wingham and the Manning Valley Visitor Information Centre on Manning River Drive, Taree.

Manning Valley Historical Society and Wingham Museum


Manning Valley Historical Society Museum and Archives is located in an historic building once used as a grocery and produce store, circa 1880. The museum overlooks Wingham Town Square (or Central Park) that is surrounded on four sides by heritage or historic buildings.

Visitors to the museum are instantly captivated by the step back in time, demonstrating the differing lifestyles pioneers had and their tools/aids.

On display are pioneer family portraits, old cedar furniture, lamp collections, scales, bottles, folk craft, clothing, fabrics, ironmongery, crockery, glassware, patent medicines and memorabilia related to our proud sporting achievements.

At the rear of the Museum is Wingham's 19th Century police cell which housed Jimmy Governor (Blacksmith) following his capture and prior to his transportation to Sydney for trial and execution.

Archive resources are also available. Researchers are in attendance on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10am to 4pm.

Wingham Community Markets


The Wingham Community Markets are held on the second Saturday of each month, and the new revitalised markets are thriving in their new home at the Wingham Skate Park.

The markets stalls include local grown fruit and vegetables, home baked goods, plants, wine, sauces, jams and pickles.

The Wingham Akoostik Music Festival


The Wingham Akoostik Festival is a three day celebration of music showcasing local artists as well as some of Australia's best loved musicians. Previous festivals have seen performances from James Reyne, Grace Knight, Wendy Matthews, Richard Clapton and Rick Price, just to name a few.

Included over the three day event are workshops catering for all ages and interests. Camping is available for the entire weekend at the Wingham Showground.

Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival


The Manning Valley Historical Society Thirteenth annual Bonnie Wingham Scottish Festival.

Clans from all over the country descend on the town of Wingham to enjoy a Scottish Concert on Sunday, 28th May 2017. Then, from Thursday 1st June 2017, visit the genealogy fair (tutorial and research); Friday 2nd, poet's breakfast, bus tour, baking competition, nine hole golf tournament, social bowls, Scot's Family Night Out; and on Saturday 3rd June, the main festival with street parade, opening ceremony, markets and clan stalls, Highland games and massed bands closing ceremony and, in the evening a grand Scottish ball. On Sunday 4th June: blessing of the banners, barbecue breakfast, luncheon and concert/Ceilidh.

A Mayoral reception and official opening ceremony also take place during the weekend. Some events require you to purchase a ticket - order your tickets online on the Bonnie Wingham website.

Comboyne Show


80th Comboyne A and H Show. Full Agricultural Show with Championship Dog Show, Poultry Show, Art, Photography, Sculpture, Flowers, Produce (including huge pumpkins), Cooking, Market stalls and so much more. Entertainments for all ages with performers, Funfair attractions, face painting, animal nursery and more.

This year they are celebrating the 80th Show on this small scenic plateau, and featuring historical displays including working farm machinery and early cars. Heavy horses will be making their first appearance with many events including the crowd-pleasing farming challenge, pulling a load through an obstacle course and simulating farm life before mechanisation. A working butter churn, milking machine and refrigeration-free ice-cream maker will be on display. Country cooking and country hospitality add to the experience.

Historical photos and memorabilia will be on display in the new Billabong building - made with old skills and nail-free, it's the latest trendy venue for weddings! Just half an hour's drive from Wauchope this beautiful mountain plateau is great for a visit any time, especially on Show Day, Saturday, March 11. Equestrian Events on Sunday, March 5.

Wingham Annual Show


The 131st Wingham Annual Show will be three days full of competitions and rides with all the fun of a true agricultural show. Wood chopping, chainsaw competitions, a cattle section and campdrafting.

Popular exhibits will be on show in the Exhibition Hall and also, the popular poultry sections, for the children to enjoy. The Friday night Rodeo will have the crowd on their feet with all the excitement happening in the rodeo ring.

Saturday will be the People's Family Fun Day from 8am right through until the fireworks at 7.30pm.

A crowd favourite, the Demo Derby will be on Saturday afternoon followed by the fireworks spectacular. The main ring will come to life with families filling all vantage points for a view of the action once again.

There is something for everyone to enjoy at the Wingham Show in March 2016.
