Collombatti Lookout

Collombatti Lookout offers 360 degrees views of the Macleay Valley Coast, on a clear day see from Mt Yarrahapinni to Crescent Head along the coast. There are also views of Kempsey to the south and Bellbrook's Andersons Sugarloaf Mountain to the west. Cedar Park Picnic Area is nearby on the Cedar Park Scenic Drive. The road is unsealed and four wheel drive is required, access is via Frederickton or Greenhill.

Macleay River Museum and Settlers Cottage

The Macleay River Museum is an award winning museum of applied local history with a Settlers Cottage and art show, housed in the cultural centre designed by world-renowned architect, Glen Murcutt. The museum is also the home of the Angus McNeil Glass Negative.

The museum showcases Aboriginal artefacts, colonial history from the 1830s, the cedar and timber industries, farm machinery and tools, river transport, period clothing, servicemen, historical publications and photos of Kempsey district.

Slim Dusty Country Music Festival

Join visitors from all over Australia for the iconic Slim Dusty Country Music Festival, held at the Kempsey Showground.

The event continues to grow in its 13th year, and this year's line up includes the Travelling Country Band, Anne Kirkpatrick, Pete Denahy as well as local Kempsey Artist, Amos Morris, and many more.

A must for all country music fans is the tour to Slim Dusty's boyhood home at Nulla Nulla on Wednesday, 19 October. This is where Slim wrote "When the rain tumbles down in July" during the Macleay Valley Floods of 1945.

Camping and canteen facilities are available.
