Woolgoolga Art Gallery


Woolgoolga Art Gallery is a community based gallery run by volunteers. There are regular exhibitions, classes and workshops in a variety of arts and crafts. All exhibition items are for sale.

The Lillipilli Art Exhibition is a major exhibition which has been running for 30 years and attracts a hung range of entries both local and further afield.

Popular for surfing, fishing, diving and snorkelling, Woolgoolga Beach is home to the Woolgoolga Surf Life Saving Club and is patrolled daily during most of the summer.

Woolgoolga Beach boasts tidal rock platforms which are popular with the children, a boat ramp, beach showers, toilets, and change rooms. The beach is within close proximity to cafes, boutique clothes shops, accommodation, children's playground facilities, electric barbecue areas, and sheltered picnic areas.

Woolgoolga Creek Flora Reserve


Large open grassed area and walking tracks in rainforest and Wedding Bells State Forest. Picnic facilities available.

Sherwood Nature Reserve is located west of Woolgoolga and incorporates open forests, heaths and sandstone escarpments.

The reserve stretches in narrow corridors from a rare strip of lowland subtropical rainforest along Woolgoolga Creek to a larger area further north-west that conserves a rugged sandstone range towering over the Orara Valley.

Moonee Beach


Moonee Beach is not patrolled though is very popular with fishing enthusiasts. Moonee Beach Reserve, where Moonee Creek meets Moonee Beach, is a popular area for locals and visitors alike with smaller children. The reserve offers shallow water for the younger children and many parts of the creek are shaded by trees hence the perfect place to sit in the refreshing water with the little ones. The reserve boasts many facilities such as a playground, picnic shelters, barbecues, toilets, beach showers, a takeaway shop and a caravan park. You can also take a stroll to the headland via the boardwalk bridge, across the creek, and then follow the bush paths.

Arrawarra-Corindi Beach


The southern end, on Arrawarra Headland Road, provides access to Arrawarra Headland Reserve. The reserve boasts facilities including picnic tables, toilets, beach shower, and a gravel boat ramp.

The northern end (accessible via Beach Road) of Corindi Beach has a local shop, tennis courts and a caravan park. The caravan park has picnic shelters, barbecue facilities, playground area, toilet amenities, and beach showers. Corindi Beach is a great area for surfing, swimming and for snorkelling enthusiasts. There are also great rock pools for the little ones. The beach is patrolled for the summer school holidays.

Sapphire Beach


Just north of Coffs Harbour, there are a few access points to the beach - take Sapphire Beach exit and access it via Crystal Waters drive, which offers playground facilities, parking and beach showers or a little further along the highway turn off at Split Solitary Road through the new North Sapphire Shores Estate and you will find Beachstone Cafe, a fabulous kids playground, parking, toilet facilities and beach access.

Taste Woolgoolga Food and Wine Festival


The first Food and Wine Festival was a great success, so they are pleased to be bringing you another one!

The Taste Woolgoolga Food and Wine Festival 2017 will again showcase and celebrate the locally produced and available delights that the Woolgoolga and Coffs Coast region has to offer.

There will be tasting plates, samples, wine, beer and cider.

They hope you can join them for a great day of all things food and wine.

Curryfest


Curryfest celebrates the unique Punjabi heritage of Woolgoolga, immediately obvious from the Sikh temple on the hill as you enter town. For the last ten years thousands have descended on the beachside town to soak up Indian music and dancing and sample curries from all over the world.

The main festival day features over 150 food and market stalls, a special kids zone with rides and entertainment, a mindfulness and meditation zone for those seeking inner peace and two stages of entertainment. As well as main festival day, increasingly lead up and follow on events are encouraging a longer stay.

Coffs Coast Charity Walk


The Coffs Coast Charity Walk - a fundraising event for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter Service - starts at Moonee Park Reserve in Coffs Harbour and follows the Solitary Islands Walk through to Lower Park Beach Reserve - a distance of 14 kilometres.

A 21 kilometre half marathon distance is also offered, which extends from the 14 kilometre walk to the bottom of Mutton Bird Island and back to Lower Park Beach Reserve.

The walks are an all-terrain challenge across sand, bush track and roads and should not be underestimated by any walker.

The spectacular scenery creates an awe-inspiring backdrop for the Charity Walk. Participants can walk or run at any pace however it is a non-competitive social event.

Participants can enter Individually or in teams of four to 20 people. Minimum age is 12 years old (with a paying adult).
