Urunga is where the Kalang River and Bellinger River join the Pacific Ocean. The charming town is a 20 minute drive south of Coffs Harbour and 15 minutes from Bellingen.

The town is particularly popular for its waterways and peaceful ambience. Boating, fishing, swimming and picnicking are some of the favourite pastimes of locals as well as visitors to Urunga.

North Beach Mylestom

Mylestom is a small quiet village located a short five minute drive off the Pacific Highway. The village is nestled between the ocean and the beautiful Bellinger River. The beach has kilometres of unspoilt sand and is patrolled adjacent to the surf club during the surf season. The local surf club provides clean and modern facilities with shops, picnic areas, a tidal pool, and the bowling club is a short stroll away.

A truly beautiful and unique area that provides for the young and the young at heart. Sit back and relax or undertake any of the many water sports so close at hand. A quality caravan park is only 200 metres from the surf club.

Raleigh International Raceway

Hire a go-kart and "unleash your wild side". Raleigh International Raceway is located 15 minutes south of Coffs Harbour and 20 minutes from Bellingen.

The track is 1,050 metres in length with a bitumen surface. The circuit is laid out between the forest and with various parts of the circuit going up and downhill, it's an incredible challenge.

Single go-kart (12 years and over) and double go-karts are available. Race gear supplied for all age groups. Suits and helmets are supplied by Raleigh International Raceway, closed in shoes are compulsory.

Prices are based on laps purchased. Group bookings welcome, bucks parties, social and sporting groups and school groups.

The Woodcraft Gallery

The Woodcraft Gallery, at the Old Butter Factory Bellingen, has been showcasing an amazing collection of Australian timber crafts, timber toys, kitchenware, wind chimes and unique timber art for over 20 years.

Many of the timber products are sourced locally from the strong community of local artists, wood-turners and craftsmen and The Woodcraft Gallery is also the original home of the beautiful and renowned Windsong Chimes. ArtUrunga - Sculpture In The Park

Visit ArtUrunga's Sculpture in the Park Festival in January.

An exhibition of over 30 sculptures, displayed in Urunga's beautiful riverside park for all to enjoy. Prizes, including a 'People's Choice for Best Sculpture' will be awarded to winning artworks.

Bello Winter Music Festival

Bello Winter Music is the perfect excuse to get away for a weekend and shake off the winter blues. As well as the music, Bello Winter Music comes alive with street theatre, workshops, free events and walking tours.

Situated roughly half way between Brisbane and Sydney and 30 minutes from Coffs Harbour, Bellingen sits in a spectacular countryside on the banks of the Bellinger River. Small cottages line the river, and a host of bed and breakfast guesthouses can be found close to the town as well as eco huts and farmstay accommodation. Camping is also available at the nearby Bellingen Showgrounds for the duration of the festival, and bookings can be made through the festival office.

The Bellingen community is deeply involved in every aspect of the festival. It has been inspiring working with them to create a unique, authentic celebration of their town.
