Pottsville Beach

Pottsville Beach is one of the many beaches located on the Tweed Coast. The coast is famous for its beaches, surfing, fishing, reserves and beachside parks. The creeks and estuaries around Pottsville are great for canoeing, fishing and swimming, especially with children. Visit the Pottsville Beach Markets on the first and third Sunday of each month for local produce and crafts.

Located east of Mount Warning, Pottsville offers a variety of mainly budget accommodation including caravan parks, cabins, holiday flats and motels. Boat launch ramps are available at Pottsville and Hastings Point and Mount Warning and Nightcap National Parks are about 40 kilometres away.

Hastings Point Beach

Hastings Point is the smallest coastal settlement of New South Wales Tweed Shire; the "Jewel of the Tweed", surrounded by national park, the hamlet is nestled between the ocean on its east and a beautiful but delicate estuary on its west.

It is the entrance for the now nationally recognised "Green Cauldron" and is identified without doubt as one of the unique seaside locations in Australia.

With an unspoiled beach, visitors come here to appreciate nature at her finest, while the local residents help protect, clean and nurture the environment, acting as stewards for future generations. Put simply, there is nothing like it. For as long as one can remember, seasonal campers have been attracted to the natural beauty of Hastings Point, returning often.

With a safe creek feeding onto the beach, Hastings Point has provided a wonderful playground for local families for years.

Cabarita Beach

With large areas of protected wetlands and limited development, this creates a quiet, relaxed holiday atmosphere in Cabarita. Bounded by Nature Reserve to the north and west and the Pacific Ocean to the east, this small coastal village with 3000 residents represents a unique lifestyle.

There is a new Skateboard Park, headland, Barbecue Park and Picnic areas and uninterrupted views over the ocean; whale-watching is a local pastime.

The beach is renowned for its surfing and hosts many carnivals during the year. An annual charity event held at Cabarita is The Greenback Tailor Fishing Competition which attracts hundreds of competitors from NSW and QLD. The village boasts the only beachside hotel in the Tweed Shire with both residents and visitors being able to eat and drink within a short distance of the main beach. Come to visit and enjoy the special ambience this setting provides.

Mullum Farmers Market

Mullumbimby Farmers' Market, every Friday morning 7am-11am, is where you'll see Mullum at its colourful best.

The market has become the gathering spot for Mullumbimby's vibrant community, re-inventing the age old tradition of a community market meeting place.

Set under magnificent fig trees in the lush foothills of Mt Chincogan, it's a wonderful place to shop for fresh produce, meet with friends, enjoy a market brekkie and local coffee, and soak up the fun and friendly vibe.

There's live local music each week, plus a dedicated kid's space to keep the little ones entertained. The market also hosts regular workshops and special events throughout the year.

The market is a not for profit organisation, which means every dollar you spend goes toward supporting local farmers, the community and a more sustainable future.

The Mullum Music Festival

*** Latest event details are yet to be confirmed ***
In a musical landscape dominated by super-festivals, there's an alternative breed of smaller, more boutique style events making their own very distinctive mark on the industry. Mullum Music Festival is one such event and its popularity with both musicians and fans is a testament to its musical integrity. Pretty impressive for a low key event held in the little town of Mullumbimby, tucked away in the hills behind Byron Bay!
