TreeTop Adventure Park consists of 96 challenges in the tree tops, where participants slide down flying foxes, move from tree to tree on suspension bridges and enjoy many other exciting activities up to 20 metres above the forest floor!

Lake Macquarie Variety Playground

Yamuloong Centre


Yamuloong has been established to provide people of all ages with the opportunity to learn about Aboriginal history and culture whilst exploring the wonders and excitement of the bush tucker trails.

Tours are seen by schools and colleges from not only within the Hunter Valley but as far away as Sydney to compliment their own studies/curriculum and as a perfect introduction to Aboriginal history and culture. Many participants are meeting Aboriginal people for the first time.

The property of over seven acres has been regenerated with native bush plants of Australia and the majority of these plants have a quality significant to the Aboriginal people of Australia.

To compliment the Bush Tucker Walk, visitors to Yamuloong can experience and participate in traditional Aboriginal dance and listen to traditional stories of the Awabakal people.

Hunter Wetlands Centre


The Hunter Wetlands Centre is a conservation sanctuary, with over 200 wildlife species identified on site. Lake Macquarie Art Bazaar


Art Bazaar will be returning to the shores of beautiful Lake Macquarie at a new location. Hunter Arts Network's first Art Bazaar at Speers Point Park is being held on in April.

Speers Point Park is located in Park Road, Speers Point. The turn off is from The Esplanade - route B57.

Bring the family and enjoy the views of the northern shores of Lake Macquarie, The Lake Macquarie Variety Playground, and Sal's by The Lake Caf? and Kiosk.

Art Bazaar has developed into a major art event for the region which now attracts many visitors from out of the area and is the Hunter's premier artisan and design marketplace. Art Bazaar is a great way to show families and visitors how wonderful this creative community is.

Loop the Lake


In it's 20th year, Loop the Lake is a charitable cycle ride around beautiful Lake Macquarie. All profits go to charities with the three major beneficiaries in 2017 being John Hunter Children's Hospital, Camp Quality and the Cancer Council. Serious riders can ride the complete circuit of 80 kilometres, however there are shorter options. Official start 7am. A new addition for 2017 is the Family Charity Ride. A short ride on the shared pathway along the banks of the lake from Speers Point Park to Warners Bay and return. Staggered start 9.30 - 10.30am. Prize draw for families who register online. Included in the registration price is morning tea, lunch and a free pass to the Speers Point Pool. Come along for a fun day, and raise some much need funds for their worthy causes. Proudly organised by the Rotary Club of Warner Bay and sponsored by Pacific Euro Peugeot and Lake Macquarie Council.

The Eastern University Games (EUG) is the largest of the three regional games held annually in July by Australian University Sport (AUS). In order to qualify and earn their right to compete at the Australian University Games, university teams compete at one of three regional University Games events.

The games promote and increase student participation in competitive sport activities, whilst building leadership skills and a healthy balance of sport and education, with all competitors currently enrolled as eligible university or TAFE students aged 18 to 26 years.

Stand-Up-Paddleboarding Class


Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a fast growing water sport which promotes a healthy and active lifestyle. The sport is very easy to get into and allows participants to progress at their own level.

Kite and Sup has structured lessons that: Cater for all levels, Are in pristine locations, Use quality equipment, Allow you to enjoy yourself!

Instructors are fully qualified, experienced and excited to take you through the process of getting up stand up paddle boarding, correcting stroke technique, doing basic turns and then into some more advanced drills.

All the equipment you need to get on the water is supplied! All you need to bring is whatever you want to wear on the day (suitable for the water). It is a good idea also to bring a towel, sunscreen and a hat. Sunglasses are a good idea however it is recommended not to take expensive ones out in case they drop in the water.
