Hallidays Point

The coastal area of Hallidays Point is located Midway between Taree and Forster and includes Black Head, Diamond Beach, Red Head and Tallwoods Village.

Black Head Beach is a multi-award winning beach under the Keep Australia Beautiful Program. Patrolled during summer, it is regarded as one of the best swimming beaches in the Manning Valley. It features shady Norfolk Island Pines (planted in the 1920s and the 1940s), an ocean pool, excellent fishing opportunities, picnic areas and barbecues.

Meander along the rainforest walk which encompasses striking coastal landforms and rare tracts of littoral rainforest. The walk takes in both Black Head and Red Head.

With exclusive resorts fringing its beaches (at Diamond Beach), the area is fast becoming recognised as a lifestyle paradise. The luxury development at Tallwoods features a championship golf course surrounded by spectacular housing.

Big Buzz Fun Park


The Big Buzz Fun Park is 25 acres of adventure and fun, just south of Taree on the Lakes Way.

The park features a toboggan run, three open water slides, jumbo slide, toddlers slide, kamikaze slide, BMX and mountain bikes (enclosed footwear required), speed karts (enclosed footwear required), mountain boards, tricycles, shoot for the basket, half tennis court, swimming pool, beach volleyball, trampolines, swings, nine hole chip and putt short course golf, kiosk and plenty of undercover seating with free gas barbecues with shaded picnic area.

The park caterers for children's parties, social events, coach tours and has an open barn available for hire, which can accommodate up to 250 people.

Children under two years are admitted to the park for free, with use of the swimming pool and limited rides, toddler slide, trampoline and swings.

Black Head Beach


Located midway between Taree and Forster is the coastal area of Hallidays Point, taking in Black Head Beach.

Black Head has a supermarket, caf?s, bowling club, and surf lifesaving club. The Black Head Markets are held in Wylie Breckenridge Park on the first Sunday of the month, from September to May.

The Black Head Surf Lifesaving Club overlooks the beach, and is available to hire for functions.

Black Head Bowling Club


Black Head Bowling club is situated on the headland in Black Head village with panoramic views overlooking the scenic coastline.

Facilities at the Club include TAB, pokies, Keno, cable television, sports bowling greens, fishing club and community centre.

When visiting the area, you are welcome to come and join with the locals for a game of bowls.

Marg's Bistro is open seven days and has a wide variety of meals including everything from delicious hamburgers to a selection of seafoods.

Red Head Beach


Red Head Beach at Hallidays Point is a quiet beach area just north of Black Head Beach, ideal for relaxing strolls.

Meander along the rainforest walk which encompasses striking coastal landforms as well as rare tracts of littoral rainforest: a must for nature lovers and keen photographers. The walk takes in two headlands - Black Head and Red Head - and is joined by Black Head Beach. Information about the walk is available from the Visitors Centre in Taree or the Hallidays Point Library.

Accommodation close to Red Head Beach consists of a holiday park which has a large number of self-contained ocean and surf villas, powered and unpowered camping sites. There are also self-contained apartments available for rent.

Car parking is available adjacent to the beach at the end of Red Head Road.

Diamond Beach


Diamond Beach is a beautiful, six kilometre long beach, ideal for fishing, surfing or just enjoying a long beach walk watching the dolphins frolic in the waves.

Clarendon Forest Retreat Horse Riding


Clarendon scenic horse riding offers some of the best riding trails in NSW.

At Clarendon they prize their horse riding for being fun and exciting. The trail horses are responsive and quiet and they offer options for every experience level.

The many different trails into the surrounding forest valleys will allow you to experience the magic of the State forests and reserves, sometimes alive with fascinating animal and birdlife. Many of these tracks allow long canters for experienced riders, gentle walking rides will be appreciated by others.

Long pants, and joggers are the minimum requirements, long sleeved shirts are suggested. A weight limit of 100 kilograms applies.

Horse trail rides must have a minimum of two riders.

Riding lessons are available outside of school holidays by appointment (enquire about availability).

Couples are able to have a two hour guided, private, escorted ride on request.

Hallidays Point Open Garden Day


Look out for our next Open Garden Day in early 2017.

Hallidays Point Open Garden Day will include seven gardens throughout the area. Map and lunch will be available from 10 Pacific View Drive, Hallidays Point, located within the Homestead Estate just off Black Head Road.

All money raised will go to the Manning Great Lake Riding for the Disabled.

Black Head Bazaar


Black Head Bazaar operates on the first Sunday of the month between September and May (no winter markets).

This very popular market has a wide variety of stalls selling local produce, handmade clothing and jewellery, homemade cakes, slices and biscuits. Food and wonderful fresh roasted coffee available for purchase.

Nabiac Farmers Market


Nabiac Farmers Market is held on the last Saturday of every month (except December) at the Nabiac Showground Hall.
