Mid North Coast Maritime Museum

Greater Port Macquarie is steeped in maritime history, and at the Maritime Museum's three venues you have the opportunity to relive over 100 years of heritage as each provide a variety of exhibits.

The Museum encompasses two separate cottages which were originally built as pilot cottages in 1896. Now they house a wonderful collection of memorabilia and artefacts including superbly built scale models of a variety of vessels, charts, maps, paintings and an extensive collection of historical maritime photographs.

Port MotorMania

Port MotorMania - The Port Festival brings you a family weekend of cars, music and lifestyle.

The date is set for the greatest show on earth, commencing Friday evening at Port Sports Club with a meet and greet dinner.

From 11am on Saturday, hit the steps of the glasshouse with the rock and roll dance club 'the Port Rockers' starring Steve Elvis Head? as Elvis and also Buddy Holley. Then into the cars for an Observation Rally around the Hastings area, finishing at Port Sports Club for a well earned drink and perhaps dinner.

Sunday morning it's all on at Westport Park, with the Car Show, 'The Elvis and Buddy Show ' Bounty Hunters, the Pin Up Girl Competition, Reptile Show, 50s dance display, and the Coastal Skydivers display. This year is going to be the biggest show yet.

NSW Junior Surf Festival

The Ocean and Earth NSW Junior Surf Festival will call Port Macquarie home in July, with over 400 surfers participating over four different events; covering a range of different disciplines.

The newly announced surfing festival is set to include the Australian Skin Cancer Clinic NSW Junior Longboard State Titles (13 and 14 July); Australian Kneeboard Titles Round Two (13 and 14 July); Ocean and Earth NSW Junior State Surfing Titles (15 to 19 July); and the Ocean and Earth NSW Junior State School Surfing Titles (20 and 21 July).

Results of the Ocean and Earth NSW Junior Surfest will determine the NSW teams for the 2016 Australian Longboard Titles, part of the Australian Surf Festival in Coffs Harbour in August, as well as the 2016 Surf, Dive N Ski Australian Junior Surfing Titles in Phillip Island in December.

Beatle mania will be resurrected in the Hastings as this celebration pays homage to the music of the world's most popular pop band. The Beatle Boys will be performing at the 2016 Festival.
