Botanic Gardens Wagga Wagga

Located at the base of Willans Hill, the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens are set over eight hectares.

A mini zoo, children's adventure playground, free flight aviary and rainforest section are open to visitors. Other attractions include a Tree Chapel, Chinese Garden, Camellia and Cactus Gardens and Miniature Railway.

The Miniature Railway operates the first and third Sunday of each month. The track runs through woodlands, a tunnel and over a bridge. Train rides operate between 10:30am and 12:30pm and 1:30pm to 4pm. Covered footwear is essential to ride the trains.

A kiosk and the Garden Court Restaurant are open for snacks and meals. The Garden Court Restaurant can cater for conferences. Covered electric barbecues are also available.

Taste Riverina Food Festival

Taste Riverina is a collaboration of the region's food producers and other industry champions who inspire people in the Riverina and beyond to eat better food by providing opportunities to celebrate, experience, understand and become advocates for locally produced food.

Evocities MTB Series - Wagga Six Hour Mountain Bike Enduro

Wagga's round of the popular Evocities Mountain Bike Race Series.

The fun, flowing course is a 13 kilometre figure of eight loop, of around 95 per cent single track, through natural bushland at Pomingalarna Reserve. The event caters for riders of all levels and abilities and any rider with reasonable skill and fitness levels, should have no problem completing a lap. Ride solo for six hours or in a team with your mates.

A great family day out with food, coffee and entertainment available all day at event headquarters, an Under 12 30 minute course, and lots of free giveaways.

Wagga Wagga Gold Cup Racing Carnival

The Wagga Wagga Gold Cup Racing Carnival is a prestigious horse racing event, attracting a top field of horses, along with a 'fashions on the field' competition. It is one of the region's largest events.

The Town Plate Day is on Thursday and offers the eight races and a track side marquee is available.

The Wagga Gold Cup is on Friday and includes the listed Wagga Gold Cup (2000 metres). There are eight local races, and Myer Fashions on the Field.

Private marquees are available, along with bistro meals in the Champagne Bar, the Golden View Marquee and Past the Post Marquee, as well as big screens around the course, and a band. Buses from the races available.

Children under 18 not permitted on the premises unless in the company of a responsible adult.
