RAAF Wagga Heritage Centre


The RAAF Wagga Heritage Centre showcases Air Force history, along with representing the significant involvement of the RAAF in the Riverina Region of New South Wales. The static aircraft display next to the Heritage Centre, represents over 50 years of RAAF flying history and are completely accessible for the public to view and photograph.

The display comprises Air Force heritage artefacts displayed in various themed rooms, including a 'Community Room', which is devoted to temporary displays of community-loaned items. The memorabilia, photographs, and documents on display represent Air Force activities in the wider region during World War II, and the subsequent activities at RAAF Base Wagga since then.

Wagga Wagga and District Scale Model Club's Annual Show and Exhibition offers people the opportunity to either come and view their exhibition of amazing models built by individuals both skilled and beginners, or enter into competition in the many categories they have on offer.

Although the show at Wagga originally started as a truck and car model show, it has over the years evolved. All modelling categories are catered for including aircraft, helicopters, military, trucks, cars, bikes, figures, juniors and ladies, movie themes, science fiction and more.

Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy


Riverina Truck Show and Kids Convoy will be held on the foreshore of Lake Albert in Wagga Wagga. Featuring a convoy of cars, motorbikes and trucks driving through the streets of Wagga, followed by a Family Fun Day.

There will be market stalls, trade displays, live bands, a truck show, amusement rides, and a grand finale fireworks display.

The convoy will be travelling through the streets from 11.30am, and the Family Fun Day starts at 1pm.

Wagga Wagga Dragon Boat Challenge

Dragon Boat NSW in partnership with Bidgee Dragons will be hosting its third dragon boat challenge in Wagga Wagga in 2015.

The Challenge is open to anyone in the community who would like to try dragon boating. Boats, equipment and training are all provided, you simply need to recruit 20 people (work colleagues, sporting colleagues or a group friends) and be prepared to have some fun! The distance raced will be 200 metres.

Spectators are welcome and catering will be available. Bring your own blanket, chair and sun shade to ensure your comfort.
