Hume and Hovell Walking Track - Henry Angel Trackhead

The Henry Angel Trackhead is a popular camping area with good facilities including electric and gas barbecues. It is located around nine kilometres from the town of Tumbarumba on the Tooma Road.

The picnic and camping area is a base for short and longer walks along the Hume and Hovell Walking Track, especially walking up and downstream exploring Burra Creek and its significant mining history. Not suitable for mountain bikes, and dogs not permitted on the track which crosses private land. Information boards are located at the trackhead.

Walkers should be adequately clothed with sturdy walking boots. Maps and more information are available from the Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centre.

Artists on Parade Art Gallery

Tumbarumba Artists On Parade Co-operative Ltd is a not for profit, community based gallery and artist workspace, run by local artists and volunteers.

They have regularly changing exhibitions showcasing local and visiting artists. Expressions of interest for exhibitions, sale of unique, artist made items or hire of the workspace are welcomed.

Tumbarumba Rodeo

Tumbarumba Rodeo is held every year on New Year's Day.

This is a full APRA Championship Rodeo with a host of fun-filled events including local barrel race, poddy ride, bucking ponies, stallion chute out, poly saddle ride, Aussie Rules versus Rugby League steer ride challenge, saddle bronc and bareback, and bull ride featuring the big ScreenBull cam, chute cam and instant replays.

There are full bar facilities and evening entertainment.

Hume and Hovell 50/100 Ultra

Located in the stunning Snowy Mountains, the Hume and Hovell 50/100 Ultra will challenge your ability as well as inspire your success. Run with the wild brumbies, past pioneer cottages and through rugged mountain ranges, along narrow winding trails with a maximum elevation of 1,240 metres on a section of the Hume and Hovell Walking Track.

100 kilometre ultra starts at Henry Angel Trackhead, Tumbarumba, the 50 kilometre starts on the Jounama Dam Wall with both events finishing at Brandy Mary's Park at the foot of the Blowering Dam Wall.
