The Batemans Bay Visitors Centre Art Gallery is not just about paintings, it is a gift shop with a difference showcasing the creations of Eurobodalla's gifted atisans.

This unique collection of art and craft created by talented local artists features an eclectic range of wearable art with everything from hand made textiles, art and jewellery through to exquisite carvings of local birdlife and glass wear.

Vibrant abstract landscapes, still life works in pastels and framed photography also line the walls.
All work is available for sale and if you are ever looking for special one-off gifts, souvenirs or inspiring additions to your home or holiday house decor, you will find it in the gallery.

Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens

The Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens is situated on a 42 hectare forest site on the South Coast of New South Wales, five kilometres south of Batemans Bay.

The gardens grow and display plants which occur naturally in the region. The site abounds with a wide variety of flora and fauna including many of the 2000 species of plants, trees and shrubs of the region. There are kangaroos, wallabies, bandicoots, possums, echidnas, snakes, lizards, frogs and many birds.

Features include display gardens, walking tracks, picnic and barbecue areas, children's playground, a visitors centre and cafe.

Please note no pets allowed in the gardens.

The Old Courthouse Museum Batemans Bay

The Old Courthouse Museum is operated by volunteer members of the Clyde River and Batemans Bay Historical Society, and is the storehouse of the community's history.

Collection themes at the Museum include costume, education, healthcare, domestic life, forestry and timber tales, as well as crime and punishment in the district. The Old Courthouse Museum is housed in the former Batemans Bay Courthouse and Police Residence building.

The Old Courthouse, Police Station and Residence - where the Museum is today, was built on the corner of Orient and Church Streets (now Beach Road), at a cost of ?930 and was opened on 14 October 1905.

Batemans Bay Kids Fishing Workshop

NSW Fisheries runs four hour kids fishing workshops for 8-14 year olds. The kids learn how fish responsibly in a safe and fun environment.

NSW DPI fishing workshops include fun lessons on fishing techniques, information on NSW fishing rules, best methods to maximise released fish survival and a practical fishing session in a safe location.

Cost per child includes quality rod and reel, shirt, hat, tackle box, show bag.
Bookings are essential - Maximum 25 participants.

NSW DPI fishing workshops are run with the assistance of the Fishcare Volunteers and are supported by funds from the Recreational Fishing Trusts.
