Manly Warringah War Memorial Park, known as Manly Dam, has a wonderful diversity of flora and fauna. It's great for picnics by the water and is renowned for mountain biking and water skiing.

Attractions include a self-guided walk that highlights the Dam's Aboriginal history, several bushwalks, and nine bookable picnic areas.

Water sports include swimming, fishing, kayaking, and water skiing.

The mountain bike track is one of Sydney's best.

Manly Art Gallery and Museum

The Manly Art Gallery and Museum is only a four minute walk from Manly Wharf. Opened in 1930 by Manly Council, it was the first metropolitan regional gallery in New South Wales. The gallery has become a popular destination for thousands of local, interstate and international visitors.

The gallery is a hub of community activity, as they present workshops, recitals and performances.

The museum is dedicated to preserving Manly's unique history as one of Australia's most loved beach resorts. Opened in 1982, it focuses on the history of Manly and the Northern Beaches. The particular emphasis is on beach culture in the 20th century. Their collection includes examples of swimwear, Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, hats, towels, beachbags and longboards.

Shark Dive Xtreme

There is no experience required - SCUBA training is provided before your dive into their four million litre oceanarium. The 2.5 hour experience includes a guided tour of the shark tunnels, a safety briefing, SCUBA training and a dive in Shark Harbour.

Manly to Spit Bridge Scenic Walkway

The Manly Scenic Walkway offers the visitor access to some of Sydney Harbour's most stunning scenery and bushland. The track meanders around the harbour foreshore from The Spit Bridge via Dobroyd Head to Manly.

The track is 10 kilometres in length and takes the average walker about three to four hours to complete. There are six major entry and exit points to the walkway. These are located at The Spit Bridge, Clontarf Reserve, Cutler Road Lookout, Tania Park (Crater Cove and Arabanoo Lookouts), Wellings Reserve and Manly Wharf.

Maps are available from the Manly Visitor Information Centre located next to Manly Wharf, and the National Parks Office. Tours are available for groups for a minimum of 25 people and are guided by National Parks and Wildlife Service, bookings for this service are essential.

Sydney Harbour Regatta

Hosted by Middle Harbour Yacht Club, the Sydney Harbour Regatta is one of the largest, competitive keelboat regattas in Australia.

The 2016 Sydney Harbour Regatta will be run over the weekend 5th and 6th March. More than 200 keelboats racing in 26 divisions on 10 course areas on Sydney Harbour and Offshore.

Visit the Club over the weekend to enjoy live entertainment, great food and drinks or watch the racing from various vantage points around Sydney Harbour.

Sydney Harbour Challenge

Sydney Harbour Challenge presented by Hawaiian Airlines, hosted by Pacifica Outrigger Canoe Club, is Australia's most prestigious six man Outrigger Canoe Race.

The race will start at Manly Wharf and head across Sydney Heads into Sydney Harbour, passing Taronga Zoo, the Sydney Opera House, under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and rounding a turn marker at Luna Park before heading back to Manly Wharf.

Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship

Celebrating its 39th Anniversary, Sydney's Short Ocean Racing Championship (SSORC), hosted by Middle Harbour Yacht Club, will be held over the last weekend of November.

For many yacht owners and their crews, this two day regatta - sailed over tight courses off Sydney's Heads, beaches, within the harbour - is vital to their preparations for the Sydney Hobart Yacht Race and Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Race.

Whether it's serious offshore championship racing, a challenging inshore harbour course for smaller boats, or a relaxing drink on the picturesque beach, the Sydney Short Ocean Racing Championship is set to whet your appetite.

Come to the club and be a part of the post race entertainment and beach party on the shores of Middle Harbour Yacht Club, as a whole weekend of sailing splendour awaits you, your crew, and family.
