Manly Art Gallery and Museum

The Manly Art Gallery and Museum is only a four minute walk from Manly Wharf. Opened in 1930 by Manly Council, it was the first metropolitan regional gallery in New South Wales. The gallery has become a popular destination for thousands of local, interstate and international visitors.

The gallery is a hub of community activity, as they present workshops, recitals and performances.

The museum is dedicated to preserving Manly's unique history as one of Australia's most loved beach resorts. Opened in 1982, it focuses on the history of Manly and the Northern Beaches. The particular emphasis is on beach culture in the 20th century. Their collection includes examples of swimwear, Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, hats, towels, beachbags and longboards.

Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary

Experience conservation in action at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary aquarium and learn more about our breed, rescue and protect program. We successfully breed some incredible local species, we are passionate about rescue, nursing animals back to health and releasing them back into the wild.

Across three levels, visitors have the chance to interact with a wide variety of marine life, as well as experience Penguin Cove, where you can discover a colony of Manly's iconic little penguins. With an abundance of incredible marine life, from cuttlefish, lionfish, baby sharks, seahorses to octopuses, there is so much to see at Manly SEA LIFE Sanctuary.

Manly Boy Charlton Swim Centre

The pools at Manly Boy Charlton Swim Centre are heated to 27 degrees.

They offer activities such as coaching, learn to swim, lap swimming, school carnivals, organised swimming groups, scuba, water polo, aqua-aerobics, and recreational swimming. A 50 metre pool, 25 metre pool, toddlers pool, playground and handball court are all available at the centre.

Shark Dive Xtreme

Scuba dive with huge three metre sharks! Come face-to-fin with huge critically endangered Grey Nurse Sharks, sea turtles, stingrays and an amazing array of fish at Shark Dive Xtreme.

There is no experience required - SCUBA training is provided before your dive into their four million litre oceanarium. The 2.5 hour experience includes a guided tour of the shark tunnels, a safety briefing, SCUBA training and a dive in Shark Harbour.

All equipment is provided, just bring your swimmers and a towel!

Manly to Spit Bridge Scenic Walkway

The Manly Scenic Walkway offers the visitor access to some of Sydney Harbour's most stunning scenery and bushland. The track meanders around the harbour foreshore from The Spit Bridge via Dobroyd Head to Manly.

The track is 10 kilometres in length and takes the average walker about three to four hours to complete. There are six major entry and exit points to the walkway. These are located at The Spit Bridge, Clontarf Reserve, Cutler Road Lookout, Tania Park (Crater Cove and Arabanoo Lookouts), Wellings Reserve and Manly Wharf.

Maps are available from the Manly Visitor Information Centre located next to Manly Wharf, and the National Parks Office. Tours are available for groups for a minimum of 25 people and are guided by National Parks and Wildlife Service, bookings for this service are essential.

Sydney Harbour Challenge

Sydney Harbour Challenge presented by Hawaiian Airlines, hosted by Pacifica Outrigger Canoe Club, is Australia's most prestigious six man Outrigger Canoe Race.

The race will start at Manly Wharf and head across Sydney Heads into Sydney Harbour, passing Taronga Zoo, the Sydney Opera House, under the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and rounding a turn marker at Luna Park before heading back to Manly Wharf.
