Kurrajong Radio Museum takes visitors on a nostalgic trip through The Golden Years of Radio.

There are hundreds of radios on display covering the domestic, armed services, professional, commercial and hobby fields. There are interactive displays and demonstrations, along with their own radio station and broadcast studio. You can even have a go at sending a Morse Code message or check out the radio station control room.

Be prepared to be entertained!

The display is the fruits of many years of collecting, now fully organised and operating.
Ian willingly shares his knowledge in demonstrations and various anecdotes which add to the character of the visit.

Purple Noon Gallery is set in the Hawkesbury region at the foot of the blue mountains. The gallery opened in November 2006 and has steadily developed into one of the finest galleries in regional New South Wales and Western Sydney with regular exhibitions and a permanent collection of both local art and sculpture, with a strong focus on artwork from leading, emerging, and Indigenous artists from around Australia.

Art In Action


A long weekend of workshops for all artists - Beginner, Intermediate to Advanced. Art In Action is three days of Interactive Workshops with talented Tutors from throughout Australia and New Zealand. Tutors are proficient in a wide range of mediums, techniques and styles including watercolour, pastel, acyclic, oil painting and mixed media.

All workshops will be held at the Merroo Conference Centre and accommodation is available on site, including all meals from supper Friday night to lunch on Sunday, with morning and afternoon teas.

The Art in Action event provides a great opportunity for local artists to not only learn new techniques and styles from accomplished tutors, but also allows the local art community to come together and celebrate their artistic interests.

The weekly Richmond Good Food Market is a family business that was developed to help get great produce to great people. The market is held at Richmond Park on Saturdays from 8am to 1pm. Richmond Stamp and Coin Show


At the Richmond Stamp, Coin and Collectables Fair there will be an interesting variety of philatelic and numismatic material available to purchase from Clubs and Dealers (from NSW and ACT). Sale tables will include Stamps and Covers, Australasia, Pacifics, World, Thematics, Cinderellas, accessories, and Club Circuit Books. Also a good range of ephemera and vintage tins.

Activities at the show will include Club Exhibit and raffle.

There will be a P Stamp Cover, Booklet and Overprinted Miniature Sheet as souvenirs.

The Fair is held twice per year. The April Fair will be at Richmond NSW, and the August Fair will see a change of venue to East Kurrajong School of Arts.

The welcoming staff at the Visitor Information Centre can provide you with a variety of information, maps, books, accommodation details, souvenirs, and a whole lot more. Feel free to drop in, and learn more about what is on offer in the Hawkesbury region. The Hawkesbury Visitor Information Centre is located opposite the Richmond Royal Australian Air Force base. On site is a great kids playground, a cafe for refreshments, and plenty of parking.
