Campbelltown Bicycle Education Centre


Campbelltown's Bicycle Education and Road Safety Centre provides education for cycling and pedestrian safety in a fun and safe environment.

The centre is a great place to visit with the kids, family and friends. Schools can also take advantage of the road safety education programs on offer.

The centre features a main road circuit simulating road conditions, including road signage and traffic lights, as well as a junior track for toddlers, shaded playground, picnic tables and free barbecues.

The centre can also be hired for private functions, making it an ideal venue for children's birthday parties, sports presentations and family fun days.

The centre is open to the public, free of charge, every Sunday and during the school holidays.

Visitors attending the centre must bring their own bike or scooter and helmet and must wear enclosed footwear.

Mawson Park


Mawson Park is located on the corner of Queen and Cordeaux Streets in the central business district of Campbelltown. The park is named after Dr Mawson, brother of Sir Douglas Mawson of Antarctica fame.

The park is the site of the War Memorial and is often used for formal ceremonies such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. The park is also popular for wedding photos because of its close proximity to St Peters Anglican Church on Cordeaux Street.

Fisher's Ghost Street Parade


One of the highlights of the annual Festival of Fisher's Ghost Festival is the Street Parade. The parade, which takes place on the first Saturday in November, has come to be seen as the official opening of the festival and a fitting way to celebrate the community spirit that the event embodies.

Campbelltown City Festival of Fishers Ghost


Each November, the legendary Festival of Fisher's Ghost comes alive in Campbelltown. The festival is steeped in history, dating back to 1956. It is named after Australia's most famous ghost, Frederick Fisher.

Glenalvon House Open Days


History lovers will be able to catch a glimpse of everyday life in a bygone era when the beautiful Glenalvon House in the historic Macarthur region opens its doors to the public for free entry on the first and third Monday and second Saturday of the month (February to December).

Glenalvon House was built in 1841 and is described by the National Trust as 'an exceptional two-storied sandstone home of colonial Georgian design'.

The furnished two storey colonial house provides a glimpse into Campbelltown's days early in the 19th century.

Twelve rooms are open to the public including the drawing room, the library, the nursery, and the children's bedroom. An agricultural exhibition, featuring the actual tools from colonial times is also located on the site.

Glenalvon also features a period garden, a sandstone coach house and heritage stables. The property is home to the Campbelltown and Airds Historical Society.
