Cambridge Park, New South Wales, Australia is located in the northern section of the City of Penrith. Cambridge Park is an older established suburb of residential housing on larger blocks. It is located north of Kingswood and Werrington. The smaller satelite suburbs of Cambridge Gardens, Werrington Downs and Werrington County are located to its north. Cambridge Park continued as a rural area for many years after the original land grant St Stephens was subdivided in the 1880s. By 1970, the area was populated and settled with urban housing. Cambridge Park is a dynamic suburb of Penrith with easy access to the many facilities in the City. St Stephens Anglican Church


The foundation stone of St Stephens Anglican Church was laid in 1837, with the first service held in the courthouse. St Stephens is the 14th oldest church still in use in Australia and is of gothic design. The trig location of Penrith is taken from the north west corner of the church tower.

The historic cemetery behind the church is open at all times.

UWS Penrith Observatory


UWS Penrith Observatory is located on the Werrington North Campus off the Great Western Highway and runs programs which include undergraduate teaching (image processing and analysis), family astronomy nights, HSC programs for schools, teachers' workshops, and astronomy for Indigenous students.

A visit to UWS Penrith Observatory can include listening to fascinating lectures on various aspects of astronomy and viewing through fully computerised telescopes. The Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre


Named after Australia's most famous opera diva, this superb venue presents world class performances in music, theatre and dance.

The Joan is also home to the Penrith Conservatorium of Music, which provides quality music education for students of all ages and abilities; and the Q, which provides theatre training to young people aged five to eighteen, and people with a disability, as well as making innovative and community focused performances.

Museum of Printing


The Penrith Museum of Printing is keeping the history of letterpress printing machinery and equipment alive.

Take a trip back with a visit to the Museum and check out one of the 23 working machines on display that date back over more than 100 years.

The Museum offers tours and workshops. It's open every Saturday for general viewing and demonstration. Not open on public holiday weekends. Group tours and courses available by appointment.

The Museum of Printing is located in the Penrith Showgrounds, close to other attractions, Penrith Panthers, shopping and restaurants.

Sydney International Rowing Regatta


Held at Penrith's Sydney 2000 Olympic rowing venue, Australia's largest rowing event features a week-long regatta with the world's best rowers competing in over 100 events.
