Glebe Point: Events

Glebe Markets

Everything from original design clothing, per-loved attire, biec-a-brac, books and arts and crafts, jewellery and hats.

There are food stalls and some outdoor entertainment including bands, jugglers and acrobats.

With are 200 stalls, there is a lot of stuff t wade through. And while there's a heap of junk, there is some truth in the adage that one person's rubbish is another's recycling project. Who knows, a good search may unearth a true gem - what wouldn't you give for an original Leo Sayer single, or a Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go T-Shirt. Your best bet is to get there early t avoid the lunchtime and early afternnon crush.

Chinese New Year at Sydney Fish Market

Sydney Fish Market is hosting a lion dance on February 8 to welcome in the Year of the Monkey in traditional fashion, and will inject a little "monkey" business of their own, handing out special fortune cookies filled with fish-pun fortunes. Sydney Fish Market welcomes all visitors to come and embrace the good fortune of Chinese New Year and enjoy the gastronomic delights this great culture has to offer.

Marking the first day of the Lunar New Year, the lion dance will take place from 12.30pm to 2pm.
