Corowa Federation Museum


Step back in time and discover Corowas history and its role in the birth of Federation Australia by visiting the Corowa Federation Museum.
Museum displays include: reason for Australia becoming a federation and Corowa's involvement; Dr John Quick's role in the federation; local Aboriginal artefacts; Tommy McRae sketches; horse drawn vehicles and saddlery as well as locally manufactured agricultural implements.

Federation Story Self Guided Walking Tour


Corowa Shire is steeped in history, playing a significant role in the 1901 Federation of Australia. The self-guided walking tour around the historic buildings within Corowa tells the story of the Birthplace of Federation; including where the original conference was held to put into place the proposal that started the wheels in motion to declare Australia a Federation.

A self-guided historical map is available from the Corowa Visitor Information Centre and gives you the history of the beautiful old buildings in the town and their significance to The Federation Story, with a detailed map pointing out the historic buildings and sites.

Corowa Federation Museum


The Corowa Federation Museum is proudly operated by volunteer members of the Corowa District Historic Society.

The Museum Displays the Story of Federation, the history of Tom Roberts painting 'Shearing the Rams' and local historic painter Tommy McCrae's Art works.

Corowa Federation Museum shows Corowa's history since 1859 including agricultural implements, vehicles and Historic Fashions.

Corowa Apex Miniature Steam Train


The Apex Miniature Steam Train runs around Bangerang Park Corowa on the first Sunday of the month, weather permitting.
The train rides coincide with the Corowa Rotary Farmers and Community Market and all proceeds go back into maintaining the train and tracks.
The train has run for many years and many parents are bringing their children to Corowa to relive the fun they enjoyed as children on the miniature train.

Corowa Festival Of Dance

On the Labour Day Long Weekend every year, the town of Corowa in Southern NSW comes alive to the sounds of music and dance.

This three day multi venue festival celebrates and showcases the spirit of music and dance. The festival consists of dance events focusing on varying dance styles such as new vogue, modern, old time and ballroom dancing. The weekend also provides the opportunity for dancers and dancing novices to develop their dancing skills at dance related workshops and events. Visitors are treated to an array of fabulous music and entertainers.

McDonalds Corowa Australian Billy Cart Championships


On Easter Saturday every year, the town of Corowa in southern New South Wales comes alive as the centre of racing action, festival celebrations and family entertainment.

The McDonalds Corowa Billy Cart Championships is an all ages event with six different race categories to give every competitor a fighting chance. Competitors race down the Corowa main street in their home-made or professionally created designs.
