Didgeridoo Festivals near Ipswich is a didgeridoo community and events company that brings people together through unique activities. It's located at Bellbird Park, Ipswich, just 30 minutes drive from Brisbane.

How about learning to make your own eucalyptus didgeridoo from an expert? Didgeridoo Festivals offer a two day workshop where you'll enjoy camping, story telling and making music around a camp fire, plus being served a delicious barbecue dinner and breakfast. You'll also learn basic techniques so you can play your new hand-crafted creation. Or why not try a four hour workshop or six lesson course to play like a professional?

The free monthly Sunset Didgeridoo Jam on the Rhythm Hut Stage allows you to pitch your tent, have a jam and stay the night. And then there's the VIP Go Camping A Didgeridoo weekend featuring didgeridoo virtuosos from around the world who perform and teach advanced techniques. It'll be an amazing and memorable experience.

Ipswich visitors can also pop into the Didgeridoo Festivals Shop where they can buy a hand-crafted instrument made by local artists, which comes with a free lesson and certificate of authenticity. Proceeds support the Yothu Yindi Foundation.

Brookwater Golf and Country Club


Golf players can tee off for a game to remember at Brookwater Golf and Country Club, a 20-minute drive from Ipswich and 30 minutes from Brisbane. The 18-hole golf course has been designed by champion, Greg Norman, and is renowned as a 'must play' course, attracting professionals and amateurs from all over the country and the world.

The par 72 tournament-standard course is set amongst undulating hills with much natural bushland left in place, creating a sense of privacy for players. Just Jump Trampoline Park and Play Centre


If you're in or near Ipswich, the kids don't have to drive you wild jumping all over the furniture when Just Jump Trampoline Park and Play Centre gives them hours of fun.

Located at Ipswich suburb, Redbank, an easy half-hour drive from the Brisbane Central Business District, Just Jump offers one hour sessions for a small cost. The good news for mums and dads is that there's a cafe on-site so you can sit back, relax and watch the youngsters burn off the energy.

All you have to do for a bouncing good time is bring your socks and you're off! For the admission price, you have an hour of Trampolining and unlimited Indoor Play, which includes Jumping Castles, Imagination Play, Slacklining and Ballsports. Ipswich Art Gallery


A visit to Ipswich isn't complete without checking out its award-winning Ipswich Art Gallery. Occupying a beautifully restored heritage building in the Ipswich Central Business District that was the first town hall built in Queensland, the gallery has an enviable collection of over 2,000 works.

One of the most visited regional art galleries in the country, the Ipswich Art Gallery has constantly changing exhibitions with local artists on show alongside contemporary and historically significant artists such as Margaret Olley, Ben Quilty and William Robinson. It's also a social history museum with heritage displays and complementary workshops, making it truly a cultural and social hub for Ipswich locals and visitors alike.

The gallery is renowned for its school holiday programs, children's exhibitions and performances in The Children's Gallery, which was Australia's first permanent interactive gallery space for under-12s. A spacious light-filled area upstairs is the ideal place for the children as well as their parents to enjoy what's on offer. No wonder it's a popular retreat during school holiday times.

Orion Lagoon


To cool off during a long hot Ipswich summer, you can't go past Orion Lagoon at Springfield, just a 30-minute drive from Brisbane Central Business District. Situated within Orion Springfield Central and the newest stage of the huge Robelle Domain parklands, Orion Lagoon has a vast expanse of shallow pools and water features.

The interconnected pools cater for all age groups, from the toddler-friendly 0.3 metres up to 1.5 metres for more proficient swimmers. Some are gently graded from the edge to give a beach-like effect, with one section offering aquativity features such as squirting spouts and stepping-stones. Lifeguards are on duty from 8am - 4pm from 1 April to 31 August and 5am - 9pm from 1 September to 31 March, but children under 13 must be actively supervised at all times.

Shade is provided by colourful sails and some trees over the grassed areas, while there's also a covered barbecue pavilion with picnic tables. Bring your own picnic or take advantage of the Lagoon Caf? and other nearby eating places. There are onsite lockers, and flotation devices, swimwear and pool accessories are for sale.

Robelle Domain


The Robelle Domain parklands, in Springfield Central, are a jewel in the crown of the city of Ipswich. Just half an hour from Brisbane's Central Business District, the parklands offer visitors a rainforest walk, waterfalls, water play areas, bike tracks, the country's first Icon on Galaxy interactive play equipment in an all-abilities playground, and more.

The largest park precinct built in Queensland since Brisbane's Roma Street Parklands, Robelle Domain has an 11 kilometre pathway network for family fun during the day and also at night when the 9-metre high light tower installations give off a spectacular light and sound show. Large shaded sections offer a pleasant relief from summer sun, as does the zero-depth water play area complete with a huge tipping bucket and water jets. Across a footbridge is Orion Lagoon - an amazing oasis of interconnected pools of varying depth.

White Rock - Spring Mountain Conservation Estate


Located just 20 minutes from the Ipswich Central Business District and 35 minutes' from Brisbane Central Business District, White Rock - Spring Mountain Conservation Estate features the distinctive, sculptured, rocky outcrops of White Rock and Spring Mountain.

Covering over 2,500ha of regionally significant bushland, the Estate also features extensive forested ridges, escarpments and valleys that are home to an amazing array of plant and wildlife species.
Visitors can enjoy the full gamut of outdoor activities including hiking, bird-watching, horse riding (bring your own horses), mountain bike riding and nature study. For the bushwalker there's everything from a leisurely 200 metre walk to the more challenging 19 kilometre round trip trail with most of the trails are suitable for hiking and mountain bike riding. If you're on horseback, then the Yaddamun Trail is perfect.

The entry to the Estate is the Paperbark Flats Picnic Area, at the end of School Road in Redbank Plains. Amenities on site include toilets, picnic facilities and horse float parking. Cooneana Heritage Centre


If you're into local history and traditional craftsmanship then put a visit to Ipswich's historic Cooneana Homestead on your itinerary. Home to the Ipswich Historical Society and Spinners and Weavers, Cooneana Heritage Centre houses historical photographs, memorabilia, artefacts and mining displays that showcase the rich and diverse history of Ipswich - Queensland's oldest provincial city.

Explore Jim Donald House - a fine example of a Workers Cottage - which has been faithfully restored and furnished to reflect the period - 1890s to early 1900s - when this architectural style was popular. In the classroom area of the museum. children can experience an olden time classroom complete with "engraved" wooden desks and slate boards - a great experience for school groups. Ipswich's important mining history is also represented with indoor and outdoor exhibits and the traditional crafts of spinning and weaving can be seen on Thursdays.

Make Your Own Didgeridoo Camp Out


Come in and enjoy a unique experience in their two day workshop that is all about the didgeridoo. Pitch your tent on their camping ground and be a part of our Make Your Own Didgeridoo Camp Out at Didgeridoo Festivals Headquarters in Bellbird Park.

You get to take two self made genuine quality eucalyptus didgeridoos home.

Their workshops are set up over two days (one night). Eckybow and Janos will teach how to make two genuine quality eucalyptus Didgeridoos in their " Make your own Didgeridoo" workshops. The workshops include stripping, sanding, cleaning, chiseling, painting, tuning and making your mouthpiece out of natural beeswax. All equipment and tools are supplied.

At night they have the "Camp Fire" jam and Story Telling.

The price includes accommodation facilities on camping grounds, firewood, parking, security, all meals including filtered water, tea and freshly brewed coffee, Didgeridoo workshops and two Eucalyptus Didgeridoos.
