Kenilworth Forest Reserve


Kenilworth Forest Reserve in the Conondale Range offers wonderful views, deep gorges, mountain streams and waterfalls. It protects rare and threatened plants and animals living in the rugged mountains. Enjoy camping in one of four forest camping areas. Go on some of the many walks, ranging from a short stroll to a challenging hike up to Mount Allan fire tower. See plantations and varied forest types on the forest drive. Allow at least 90 minutes for the drive and extra time for picnics and bushwalks. From Booloumba Falls carpark, take a 3km return walk past cascades to The Breadknife rock formation. Birdwatchers will enjoy Little Yabba Creek, while mountain bike and horse riders can explore four wheel drive tracks.

Mary Valley Scarecrow Festival


Spot the scarecrow in Mary Valley Country, South East Queensland, every year in October! The annual festival encourages people to plan a day out in Mary Valley Country, and see if they can find the variety of serious and not so serious straw creations along the way. A Google map can be downloaded to let you know where all the entries are. The community art organisation Mary Valley Artslink auspices the scarecrow festival.

Mary Valley Art Festival


The Mary Valley Art Festival is held on the first weekend each July in Imbil, Mary Valley Country, and showcases entries from talented artists throughout South-East Queensland in a competition offering more than AUD6,000 in prize money.

Each year the artwork on display is testament to the creative abilities of individuals residing in their communities, while visitors attending the festival share the privilege being able to view or buy the results of many hours of intense effort and passion.

Noosa Billy Cart Grand Prix


Noosa Billy Cart Grand Prix is an fun, annual event that caters to families of all shapes and sizes.

Billy Cart races are held for all age groups - from Pre-Prep right through to Opens. Gympie Music Muster


The Gympie Music Muster is Australia's favourite outdoor country music and camping festival.

Held in the beautiful and normally peaceful Amamoor Creek State Forest Park, this iconic Aussie music festival brings music and mateship together under one big open roof, offering an experience like no other. Eumundi Night Markets


Eumundi Night Markets are a fabulous community event with delicious food stalls from all from all corners of the globe, and art and craft stalls for Christmas shopping under the stars.

There'll be colourful street performers and fire twirlers plus a great line-up of live music each week.

The village will be sparkling with Christmas lights and Caplick Park playground will be transformed into an Enchanted Forest with special animations and attractions including one of Santa's elves climbing an aerial silk circus rig.

Santa will arrive at 6.30pm on the Eumundi Fire Truck each week, and market visitors will then have the opportunity for Santa photos.

Movie lovers will love the free family outdoor movies screening each week at 7pm. There'll be chairs to sit on, but it's recommended you bring your own blanket to get comfy on the grass.
