Mary River Festival

The Mary River Festival, held each year in Kandanga in early November has acquired a reputation of being one of the friendliest, most laid back festivals you'd find, with a great mix of top music, art, kid's activities and much much more.

This festival runs on a not for profit basis with an incredibly lean budget, through the generous involvement of local community groups, as well as a number of individuals, and enjoys wonderful support from musicians and participants.

As well as the sense of community though, what really powers this festival is the exuberance unleashed in 2009, after Peter Garrett gave the federal thumbs-down on the Traveston Crossing Dam proposal. It was that enormous relief and the grabbing in both hands of the ongoing environmental stewardship of the Mary River that runs through every part of this festival.

Mitchell Creek Rock N Blues Fest

Billed as being "designed to get you out of town and take you on an adventure that connects you with friends, music and like minded people in an intimate and inspirational setting."

Graceful Australian trees became a natural bushland wall surrounding the property, which itself was shaped like a huge amphitheatre creating clear, warm acoustics, cushioned by lush, soft grasses to relax on

With over 150 of Australia's amazing rock and blues artists performing for three days and nights the calibre of the music is nothing short of incredible! One of the best shows in the country will leave a memory never to forget!

It is as intimate and moving as a house concert, yet as powerful and raunchy as a huge stadium event.

A safe family friendly environment on a private 100 acres.
