Llanherne Golf Club


The Llanherne Golf Club is located north-east of Hobart near to the beachside township of Seven Mile Beach. It is a nine-hole, 18 tees, Par 72 course designed by Peter Toogood.
Opened in March 1994, this links type course features 18 tees with gently undulating fairways to nine large greens. Two lakes and numerous bunkers add to the challenge.
Members Competition is played on Saturdays, Ladies Competition on Tuesdays and Mixed Competition (Open to visitors) on Thursday, 0900 for 0930 Shot Gun Start.
Visitors with handicaps welcome.
Holes: Nine (18 Tees), Par: 72, Length: 5978 metres. Slope Ratings are 124 for Members White, 120 for Yellow (Social), and 118 for Ladies Red.

Tasmania Golf Club - The


The Tasmania Golf Club is an 18-hole course at Barilla Bay, east of Hobart. Tasmania Golf Club is close to Hobart airport, a 15-minute drive (20 kilometres/12 miles) from the city centre.
With spectacular views over Barilla Bay, this championship course has many superb holes and undulating fairways lined with towering trees. Located on a promontory jutting into the Bay, the course is surrounded by water on three sides. You can enjoy a challenging round of golf here -including the third signature hole - a 527-metre par five which is considered one of the best par fives in Australia.
The Tasmania Golf Club was established in 1971; the layout was designed by Al Howard and the course built by Ian Grimsey. Norman Von Nida once described it as the equal of any course in the world.
You can relax with a drink or meal in the clubroom after your round. A club professional, practice facilities, driving range, trolley and golf cart hire are also available.

Royal Hobart Golf Club


The Royal Hobart Golf course is a championship 18 hole course east of Hobart in Southern Tasmania.
Located at Seven Mile Beach, the course is a 20-minute drive south-east of Hobart (18 km) and a 10-minute drive from the Hobart Airport.
The Royal Hobart Golf Course is very tight driving course demanding care from tees and accurate approaches to well bunkered greens. Heavily timbered, the layout is championship quality with dips, hollows and bunkers surrounding many of the immaculately manicured greens.
There are excellent practice facilities here including two practice fairways, a practice hole, a chipping green and a putting green. Club, pull buggy and motorized cart hire are all available.
You can also consult the expertise of the course's golf professional and relax in the clubhouse while overlooking the course.
The Royal Hobart Golf Course hosted the 1971 Australian Open won by Jack Nicklaus as well as many more events including Australian Amateurs and Tasmanian Opens.

Pittwater Golf Club


Pittwater Golf Club is a private, nine-hole course at Midway Point, near Hobart. Midway Point is a 20-minute drive north-east of Hobart's city centre (20 km).
Pittwater Golf Club is only available to members of affiliated clubs. The undulating, lightly-wooded course features grass greens, bunkers and lakes with easy walking around the nine holes. The Club borders a bird sanctuary at Orielton Lagoon and several species of birds are year-round visitors to the course. There is a practice fairway and nets, club house and bar, showers and barbecue facilities. Affiliated club members are welcome to join the regular competitions including weekly, full-member competitions, open, women's and twilight competitions.

Dunalley Golf Club


The Dunalley Golf Club is a scenic nine-hole course at Dunalley, south-east Tasmania. Dunalley is a 50-minute drive south-east of Hobart (61 km) at the northern tip of the Forestier Peninsula.
The Golf Club features a generally flat, tight layout with watered greens, tees and surrounds. Narrow fairways, strategically placed bunkers and abundant trees add challenge to your round. The ninth hole is a highlight, requiring a short shot over water to the green. The Club hosts regular competitions including the Saturday men's competition, Wednesday and Sunday mixed competitions, and Friday morning ladies' competition.

Sorell Market


The Sorell Market is a large country market at Sorell, in south east Tasmania. Sorell is 20-minutes' south east of Hobart (27 kilometres). It attracts over 60 stallholders selling a huge range of goods. You can buy freshly picked organic and farm-grown fruits and vegetables, antiques and collectables, second hand goods, arts and crafts, furniture, wood turning, native plants, garden products and tools.
Children's activities are often a feature, and there are food stalls where you can buy a well earned snack and drink after your morning's shopping.
The market is held every Sunday morning from 9am to 1.30pm except if it is a long weekend then the market is held on the Monday. Note that from Mothers Day to Fathers Day (winter), the market is held every fortnight.
The market is located on level ground, beside the Sorell Memorial Hall, near the town's centre. There is ample car parking and access for people with a disability
