Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Brighton, a 30-minute drive north of Hobart.
The Sanctuary boasts wombats, koalas, birds, quolls and many amazing natives including the Tasmanian devils which are active during the day so they can be viewed at any time. We have over 80 free-roaming kangaroos that you can hand-feed with complimentary kangaroo food provided on entry and they love a scratch under the chin!
We offer a very hands-on experience, allowing you to view and share special moments with Australia's unique wildlife. Your entry will also help continue the work with education, conservation and rehabilitation of Tasmania's threatened wildlife. Bonorong's dedicated volunteers run Tasmania's only 24-hour wildlife rescue service.
Be sure to time your visit with one of our daily guided tours, run at 1130 and 1400. You will hear little-known facts about the wildlife and stories of orphaned animals in our care. Tours include seeing the devils devour a snack and pats/close-up photos of the wombat and koalas.

New Norfolk Antiques is located in New Norfolk en route to Tasmania's rugged West Coast. It is one of several antique shops in New Norfolk, which has become a mecca for collectors and antiques enthusiasts. Most of the shops will provide a map to the rest.
New Norfolk Antiques has furniture from 19th century to Art Deco, 20th century glass, especially Murano, 1930's pottery (Beswick, Crown Devon and Moorcroft), lamps (Art Deco and Murano), linen, old evening purses and handbags. We specialise in the restoration of classic, original Art Deco lounge suites, having sold over 25 to date.
We have been in New Norfolk for nearly nine years but have been collecting and restoring antiques for over 35 years and selling for over 20 years.

The Drill Hall Emporium is an antique store in New Norfolk, Southern Tasmania. New Norfolk is a classified historic town, a 30-minute drive north-west of Hobart (33 km) in the beautiful Derwent Valley.
The Drill Hall Emporium has a stunning display of high quality, authentic antiques. Claremont Golf Club

The Claremont Golf Club is a metropolitan course located in the northern suburbs of Hobart in Southern Tasmania. Claremont is a suburb of Hobart, a 10-minute drive north of the city centre (12 km).
The Claremont Golf Club features undulating fairways with water views from nine holes. The course has watered grass greens and tees, a few hills and bunkers and players here will enjoy some excellent holes. The Derwent River is a constant backdrop and also acts as a boundary for a number of fairways.
The Club has a resident golf professional, practice putting green and buggies and carts are available for hire. Guests are welcome to participate in the general competitions but bookings are essential. You can relax after your round in the clubhouse bar, which is open every day, with lunch time meals available Tuesday to Saturday and evening meals available on Friday.

Light the Night - Brighton

Light the Night is the Leukaemia Foundation's annual fundraising walk to help more Australians beat blood cancer by improving survival rates and quality of life.
More than 60,000 Australians are living with blood cancer, and every day, another 34 people are diagnosed with leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
You can create a brighter future for families affected by blood cancer by registering for the Leukaemia Foundation's Light the Night walk on Saturday 8 October.
As night falls, gather with family and friends for a moving ceremony where you can light a special lantern; gold to remember someone, white for your own journey or blue to show you care.
The money you raise will ensure the Leukaemia Foundation can continue to help Australian families impacted by blood cancer by giving them the emotional and practical support they need.

One of the oldest local shows, the Brighton Agricultural Show still retains its classic country feel.
We cater for man animals with various competitions including beef cattle and cattle handlers, stud sheep and trade lambs, fleece, hall of industries, photography, wood chopping, dog competition, dog high jump and championship, pet parade, pigeons and poultry.
