Oatlands is alive with convict, military and settlement history, and offers visitors a range of professionally guided and self-guided tour options, including:
The Millers Way - includes a tour of the Mill tower.

Mount Seymour: Events

The Big Load - a bullocky, 12 bullocks, and an historic wagon

Don't miss this rare opportunity to witness a scene from the early colonial days. Bullocky Brian Fish will lead his team of 12 bullocks down the main street of Oatlands, pulling an historic wagon (c. 1880) loaded with bales of wool from local woolgrowers.
On Saturday and Sunday, meet the team of 12 bullocks, ranging from 18 year old veterans to 3 year old babies just learning their trade. Take your photo with Major, Smoke, Rope, Tie, Tim, Buddy, Freckles, Tiny, Colt, Tiger, Bandit and Bluey.
View displays of horse and bullock drawn wagons, carts, two-wheel drays, jinkers and a beautifully restored landau at Callington Park, near the mill.
On Saturday, visitors are welcome to take part in a Heritage Arts and Crafts event, showcasing local artisans at work: spinning, lace-making, blacksmithing, leatherwork, garden weaving and much more. Visitors are encouraged to "get creative" with plenty of "hands on" opportunities to explore crafts and try out some techniques. Watch, learn and participate whilst soaking up the heritage atmosphere of Oatlands. Collect your map/guide from Callington Mill.
BBQ lunch, refreshments available.
Adults $5, children free.
