Scamander River Golf Club

Scamander River Golf Club offers a well maintained nine hole golf course, Par 72 on Tasmania's East Coast. It caters for mens and ladies competitions, juniors and green fee players. Course length is 5778 metres with a feature par five of 569 metres. Bar and meal facilities are available in the clubrooms on Friday nights.
Golf carts are available for hire and visitors are most welcome to partake in Club competitions which are held on Tuesdays for ladies (0930 start), Wednesdays for mixed (1000 start), Saturday for mens and ladies (1000 shotgun start).
The Golf Club is based at the Scamander Sports Complex, which also has a good sized function room and outdoor entertaining area. The park is approximately a 15-minute drive from St Helens and around a two-hour drive from Launceston (165 km).

Eureka Farm

Eureka Farm is set in an enchanting rural environment at Scamander, on Tasmania's North East Coast.

From November a large variety of fruits are grown including strawberries, raspberries, brambles, red and black currants and blueberries. From early January there are also apricots, cherries, peaches, nectarines, plums, apples and pears.

St Helens History Room

The St Helens History Room, on the East Coast of Tasmania, is a small, regional museum.
At the St Helens History Room, there are over 1000 artefacts on display. These are presented thematically to represent the various stages of settlement of St Helens. Our collections are very accessible as the museum is open seven days a week during regular business hours. The St Helens History Room is situated at the St Helens History and Visitor Information Centre behind the St Helens Library building, opposite the Post Office.
Look for the Tin Dragon sculpture outside, he will point you in the right direction. Visit 'The Chinese Experience' and learn first-hand about this interesting area before you set off to explore the beautiful beaches or the marvellous mountainous hinterland.

Cerise Brook Orchard and Chip n Putt Family Golf Course

Cerise Brook Orchard and Chip n Putt Family Golf Course is at St. Helens on Tasmania's North East Coast.
Located at our cherry orchard, Cerise Brook offers a 9-hole, Par 3, chip and putt golf course. Not mini-golf but a smaller version of a full size course with the fairways ranging from 60 to 114 metres. Taking about an hour to play it is great fun for families, beginners or people who just want a short game. Clubs are available for hire and balls and tees are provided.

Tasmanian Sand Enduro

Be a part of the crowd and see spectacular airborne antics off the top of the dunes that will thrill the crowds who line the hills adjacent to the start and finish line.
One of the last remaining sand endurance circuits, the 5km St Helens track is located on Tasmania's beautiful east coast.
Every year the prevailing winds change the face of the circuit offering new challenges.
The track is marked out in an area set aside for recreational use and is split evenly between a super quick beach run before turning back for home through the dunes.
The event is a tough one held over two days of competition. Drivers who manage to see the end of the fifth heat on Sunday will have travelled some 500 kms to get to the chequered flag.
Track side catering both days with hot and cold food and drinks available.

Come along to the Beaumaris Swap Market where you will find home grown fresh produce and handmade items. Expect to see fruit, vegetables, herbs, bread, conserves, flowers and craft.

Anzac Day Dawn Service - St Helens

A Dawn Service will be held at St Helens Cenotaph.
ANZAC was the name given to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps soldiers who landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey early on the morning of 25 April 1915 during the First World War (1914-1918).
As a result, one day in the year has involved the whole of Australia in solemn ceremonies of remembrance, gratitude and national pride for all our men and women who have fought and died in all wars. That day is ANZAC Day - 25 April.
A Dawn Service will be held at the St Helens Cenotaph to remember the ANZACs and other War Veterans who fought for Australia.
