Valid for 01APR16-31MAR19:
A 1770 Larc Tours vehicle will pick you up from your hotel for transfer to the 1770 Marina, the departure point of your tour. The Town of 1770 is the birthplace of Queensland - explore this picturesque area of the Central Queensland Coastline in an ex-military Lighter Amphibious Resupply Cargo (L.A.R.C) vessel, fondly known as the LARC ! Take a journey into history over vast sandy beaches and crystal clear waters to experience the beauty that greeted Lieutenant James Cook when he stepped ashore here more than two centuries ago. Travel along the coastline of Eurimbula National Park whilst listening to informative commentary on the abundant wildlife and history of Bustard Bay. You will cross four tidal creeks before four wheel driving up the steep climb to the historic Bustard Head Lightstation. Enjoy an interpretive tour through the head lightkeeper's cottage. A picnic lunch is included today. Also experience sand boarding down the towering dunes of Middle Island. Tour concludes at approximately 4.00pm, at which time hotel drop offs will commence.
