Join Nitmiluk Tours at the Nitmiluk National Park canoe shed, adjacent to the Nitmiluk Centre at Katherine Gorge (a 32 kilometre drive from Katherine) to commence your 8 hour canoe hire. This is a great way to explore the Nitmiluk Gorges according to your own itinerary and fitness level. Take in the diversity of landscapes and habitats as you paddle your way through the Gorges, a visual treat for any nature lover. Experienced canoeists will make it to the end of the 4th Gorge, where there is Indigenous rock art and a picnic spot perfect for lunch or a refreshing swim. Total distance return to the 2nd Gorge is 12.2kms, 3rd Gorge 14.6kms and 4th Gorge 16.6kms.

Child Policy:

Infant: 0-5 years inclusive - free of charge.
Child: 6-15 years inclusive - child rates apply.

Infant: 0-5 years inclusive - not permitted.
Child: 6-12 years inclusive - adult rates apply - must be accompanied by an adult in a double canoe.

Important Information:

Cash Deposit:
- An AUD50.00 refundable cash deposit per canoe on the day is required at the canoe shed or a AUD60.00 cash deposit for overnight hire.

Age Restrictions:
- Children under the age of 6 years are not permitted to canoe due to safety regulations. Children aged between 6-12 years must be accompanied by an adult in a double canoe.
