Ballarat Turf Club

The Ballarat Turf Club racing at Sportsbet-Ballarat, boasts one of provincial Victoria's premier racetracks, hosting an average of 30 race meetings in any race season, the most conducted on any grass circuit in regional Victoria.

The club boasts two grassed racing tracks and a Tier One training facility which accommodates over 300 horses each morning. The Ballarat Turf Club also features modern grandstand facilities and on-course member and visitor facilities, placing it at the forefront of the country racing industry.

The Ballarat Turf Club's feature event is the Sportsbet.com.au Ballarat Cup. It is the concluding feature event of the Victorian Spring Racing Carnival. The club's other feature meetings include the Petrogas Gold Nugget Race Day, Ladies Day, Total Tools Tradies Day and Porter Plant Cup Day.

Ballarat Exhibition Centre

Ballarat Exhibition Centre is host to the Ballarat Antique and Vintage Fair, Mechanica Car Show, the Old Trades Exhibition and many other varying exhibitions and sporting events.

Ballarat Jumps Festival

A great weekend of Jumps Racing, including the richest jumps race in Victoria, the $350,000 Grand National Steeplechase.

The weekend features seven jumps races as well as high weight flat races over the two days. Buy a General Admission ticket for Sunday and you will get free entry on Saturday.

Ballarat Old Trades Exhibition

The Ballarat Old Trades Exhibition, the second if its type, will be held at the Ballarat Exhibition Centre on the weekend of 6 and 7 August 2016.

This is very much a family friendly opportunity to experience the skills of a bygone era.

Doors open at 10am each day. This event will showcase skills and trades from yesteryear, some of the sites will have interactive activities.

Creswick Annual Garden Lovers Weekend

Creswick Garden Lovers Weekend is a garden lovers delight in the Victorian Central Highlands.

Featuring viewings of ten private gardens, commercial gardens, the annual garden club flower show, workshops and demonstrations, a garden party at the John Curtin Hostel and plant and garden-related market at the Creswick learning centre.

The private gardens include five suburban gardens in the town and five set on rural properties. All have varying aspects of beauty and creativity - hidden gems often not previously seen by the general public but guaranteed to impress.

The commercial gardens include viewing of the John Curtin Hostel, a self-guided walk in the arboretum of the University of Melbourne's Creswick campus, Lambley Nursery in Ascot, Mistydowns and Tangled Maze at Springmount, Overwrought sculpture garden at Blampied and Newlyn Antiques and Cottage Nursery.
