Joyful and Triumphant, Christmas in July

Joyful and Triumphant is an exhibition of works initiated and inspired by works of art and decorative items from the Johnston Collection and originally held at Fairhall Exhibition House East Melbourne in late 2015, early 2016.

Fairhall is a Georgian style house-museum, furnished with Regency, Georgian and Louis XV period furniture and art bequeathed to the people of Victoria by Mr William Johnston.

12 Gippsland groups with 171 contributors and 8 individual artists worked until November 2015 to complete the fine collection of items, which demonstrates their excellent skills and devotion to their individual genres.

East Gippsland is well represented by incredibly talented and creative contributors from Fusion Fibre Arts Network, Paper Arts Gippsland East, Riviera Quilters and independent artists, Jenny Romano, Jackie McNamara, Marion Dawson and Heather Costigan.
