Haven Market

All are welcome to the Haven Market held on the first Saturday of each month (with the exception of January).

Convened by the Haven Recreation Reserve committee, all funds raised are used to improve facilities for the benefit of the community, the local primary school and visitors.

Hundreds of people enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the Market located in a picturesque bush setting only five minutes from the city centre of Horsham.

There is always a diverse range of stalls from delicious homemade sauces, relish, cakes and jams, locally grown honey, organic vegetables, bread and buns, through to locally made arts and crafts, baby produce, plants and many others.

Sit and enjoy a cappuccino or hot chocolate, or indulge in a hot jam doughnut while listening to the live music.

The Market is renowned for its Egg and Bacon Muffin Breakfast supplied by the local tennis club, followed by a barbecue supplied by the local primary school.

Please don't miss Haven's monthly market, it is a very popular event, not just for the produce it provides but also the welcoming community spirit of the bush.

Arapiles Cycling Event - The A.C.E. Ride

The A.C.E. Ride is an opportunity for cycling enthusiasts of all abilities to experience the big sky and stunning Wimmera views; with Mt Arapiles rising from the surrounding flat country not unlike Uluru in Central Australia.

Cycling in the Spring, you will experience the flowering Canola crops, the growing Wheat, Barley and Lentil crops with the occasional paddock of sheep or cattle grazing near by. The Ride also passes several historic buildings and the Natimuk Lake.

In total, the Course is 120 Kilometres from Horsham to Mt. Arapiles and back to Horsham. The Route is designed to avoid the Major Highways and avoid too much travel on major roads. A shorter 56 kilometre option is offered to ride from Horsham to Mt. Arapiles with a Shuttle Bus trip back to Horsham.

This Event is supporting the work of the Wimmera Drug Action Task Force within our community. The Task Force is made up of a large group of Service Providers who present programs and information to Schools, Sporting Clubs and Public Meetings about Drug and Alcohol issues throughout the Wimmera.
