Bushy Park Wetlands


Bushy Park Wetlands is bounded at the north by a remnant orchard accessed from the eastern end of Highbury Road. The southern boundary, near the pony club at Drummies Bridge Reserve, is accessed from High Street Road.

The park's eastern boundary is Dandenong Creek and its western boundary is formed by residential properties in King Arthur Drive and Knights Drive.

A section of the Dandenong Creek Trail provides vantage points overlooking the scenic wetlands.

Things to see and do
- Try cycling, walking or birdwatching, taking in the native flora and fauna of the area
- Pedestrians and cyclists can travel north along the Dandenong Creek Trail from the eastern end of Jells Park. The trail crosses Pattersons Bridge and passes Shepherds Bush, Napier Park and baseball fields and the Nunawading and District Pony Club, taking in natural parkland
- From nearby Koomba Park visitors can walk or cycle across the new foot bridge over Dandenong Creek, then head south over Burwood Highway and take the trail over the mound to the wetlands.

Nortons Park

Bring your dog - Nortons Park is an off-lead area where you can take your dog for a run.

Jells Park


Jells Park is nestled in the Dandenong Creek Valley, Wheelers Hill, away from the hustle and bustle of urban life. The park attracts over 900,000 visitors a year, with over nine kilometres of paths and trails, 127 hectares of wide open paces and enough picnic areas for everyone to enjoy.
Trails and paths

The main Dandenong Creek Trail runs north-south through Jells Park, linking the Eastlink Track, Scotchmans Creek pathway and the Knox bike track (near Nortons Park). All paths are multi-use so you can take your choice of cycling, jogging, or simply strolling.

Jells Park has many barbecue and picnic areas.

Jells Lake is a beautiful man-made feature with a variable water level that flows from the Dandenong Creek. No boating or canoeing is allowed. Fishing in Jells Lake is permitted only from the two larger jetties.

Waverley Music Eisteddfod


The Waverley Music Eisteddfod is a wonderful celebration of music for youth with choral, ensemble and solo competitions. These competitions are held in mid August every year in leafy Mount Waverley, Victoria, Australia.

Over 600 children and young adults participate in the Waverley Music Eisteddfod each year with delightful piano, vocal, strings and wind solo performances and magnificent ensemble and choral events.

The Waverley Music Eisteddfod is run by a volunteer committee, and provide a lovely venue, accompanists (for soloists) and highly regarded, experienced and qualified musicians as adjudicators. Every competitor is rewarded with a detailed critique sheet, offering encouragement and objective advice to help them on their musical journey. The experience is invaluable to help develop confidence and polish.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch these young local soloists and ensembles perform. Tickets are only $5.00 and available on the day at the door.

Encourage your young musician to take the opportunity to enter the next Waverley Eisteddfod, practise their favourite pieces, and perform in front of a warm and appreciative audience.

Bark For Life


Bark For Life is a unique event honouring the caring qualities of dogs during a human cancer experience. It is a chance to recognise and celebrate cancer survivors, patients and their four-legged carers, to honour and remember loved ones lost to cancer and to raise money to help save more lives.

At the event, dogs from all areas come together with their human companion to walk to fight back against cancer. Join us on the day - register yourself or a team and help to fund cancer research and raise awareness.

Pre-event registrations close 5:00pm Wednesday 5 October, registrations available from 8:30am on the day.
