Coach House Art Gallery and Museum


The Coach House Art Gallery and Museum complex is situated in the main street of Wedderburn, on the Calder Highway approximately half way between Melbourne and Mildura.

The Museum offers a step back in time to a General Store which was built in 1913 as an upgrade to the then existing store which was built in the 1840's, also to see are some old carriages and a blacksmiths shop.

The Gallery has exhibitions which feature mostly local artists. The exhibitions change on a four to five week time table.

There is an entry fee to the museum, although the gallery is only a gold coin donation. Please contact the Coach House Art Gallery and Museum for further information.

Charlton Badminton Club Junior Tournament


The Charlton Badminton Club holds an Annual Junior Badminton Tournament on the second Tuesday of the July school holidays each year.

Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles are played in Under 11 First Year Players, Under 11, Under 13, Under 15, and Under 17 age groupings. The age is taken as at 31st December in that year.

Round Robin mixed doubles are played first, followed by round robin doubles and then, depending on numbers, either knockout or round robin singles.

Trophies are presented at the completion of each type of event.

Charlton Badminton Club Ladies Tournament


The Charlton Badminton Club conducts an annual Ladies Badminton Tournament on the second Friday of school term three in each year.

Commencing at 9:30am, and finishing by mid afternoon; it is a graded, round robin tournament, so you will have a variety of partners and opponents. A pleasant day's exercise is assured.

There are five badminton courts in the stadium.

Minelab Wedderburn Detector Jamboree


Annual two day event introducing gold panning and detector demonstrations.

Bring along the family for a fun filled prospecting weekend and participate in all the activities to do with detecting and gold panning. Major gold detector draws, and many lucky draw prizes up for grabs.

Senior detector token hunt $45 for the weekend includes breakfast and entertainment on Saturday night. $35 for one day.

Monster town garage sales (Saturday only), coach house gallery and Museum, token hunt, detector demonstrations, seniors gold panning knockout, variety of stalls, local attractions, Saturday night live band and tea.

Junior detector token hunt $10.00. Children must be registered and are restricted to an 11 inch coil or equivalent. First prize Minelab GO-FIND 60 detector valued at $399. Second prize - Minelab GO-FIND 40 detector valued at $299. 3rd prize - Minelab GO-FIND 20 detector valued at $199.

Junior gold panning competition - $5.00 per child. first, second and third trophies for each age group.

Major draws: Minelab GPX4500 detector valued $4199 and three Minelab Go Find. Coiltek major prizes, Minelab X-Terra 305 valued $395.

Loddon Visitor Information Centre


Come to Loddon Visitor Information Centre, it is in a region where families are valued, breathe in the fresh air, sit around campfires, walk the family pet, sip award winning wines or watch sunrises and sunsets.
