Harrietville is 350 kilometres from Melbourne, or just under four hours along the Hume Highway and the Great Alpine Road.
Harrietville: Where To Go / Sightseeing
Blueberries, raspberries, red and black loganberries, Tai berries (cross between a raspberry and a blackberry), blackberries, Silvan berries, gooseberries, red currants and black currants can all be purchase from the farm.
Product can be purchase in half kilogram quantities or a two kilogram value pack, excellent for jam, smoothies, muffins pies or ice-cream. Frozen fruit is available when the fresh stocks are finished or sold out.
Chestnuts, walnuts and hazelnuts are also available when in season. A variety of homemade berry jams, pure honey, olive oil, garlic oil and chilli oil can also be purchased.
Toilets facilities are available and coaches or groups are welcome.

Alpine National Park
There are plenty of opportunities for bushwalking, from hikes to plunging waterfalls or the summits of Victoria's highest peaks - Mount Feathertop, Mount Bogong and Mount Howitt - to the network of tracks among the Snow Gums, summer wildflowers and historic mountain huts of the Bogong High Plains.
Other activities include cross-country skiing (with downhill skiing at adjoining resorts), camping, canoeing, cycling, four-wheel driving and horse riding in the warmer seasons.

Mountaingrass Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Festival
Mountaingrass also offers instrument playing workshops and plenty of opportunities for bluegrass and old-time music players of all levels to jam at this friendly and interactive festival. Those who do not play can kick back and listen to the concerts and jam sessions or indulge in the many activities on offer in the surrounding area. And, entertainment at the local Snowline Hotel is free.
The 2016 line-up of US and Australasian bluegrass and old time acts will be announced throughout 2016.
At the 2015 festival the headline acts included US band, Laurie Lewis and The Right Hands; US old time band, the Orpheus Supertones, and back again for a second visit to Mountaingrass, Chris Henry and The Hardcore Grass.
Australian and New Zealand acts that appeared at Mountaingrass 2015 included: Bluegrass Parkway, Paul Wookey, Pete Denahy, Davidson Brothers, Karen Lynne, The Weeping Willows, The Kissin' Cousins, The Pipi Pickers, John Flanagan, Old South, Buffalo Nickel, Coolgrass, and the Strzelecki Stringbusters.
MountainGrass is the bluegrass and old-time music lover's dream and a picker's paradise, an event not to miss.
