Snowline Fruits - On Farm Fruit Sales Shop


Snowline Fruits is a family owned and operated business with a modern medium density, world class orchard. Their orchard is constantly changing with many different varieties of tree ripened fruits including apples, pears, stone fruit, berries and chestnuts. Local walnuts and honey also available.

Open from 9:00am to 5:00pm daily daily and located 5.5 kilometres from Stanley township on the Stanley / Myrtleford Road.

Guided tours of the orchard are offered by arrangement, and can include morning and afternoon tea. See stunning views of the Victorian mountain ranges (a short walk is required) and brilliant autumn colours against a backdrop of native bushland.

The Farm Shop is situated on the orchard and is surrounded by landscaped gardens. Visits can incorporate a pleasant day trip through Beechworth, Stanley, and then to Myrtleford and the Ovens Valley, taking in some of the best views in North East Victoria.

Myrtleford Golf Club


Myrtleford Golf Club, situated in Myrtleford, just over three hour's drive from Melbourne, offers 18 holes of superb, watered couch grass fairways and manicured grass greens.

Motorised carts/buggies and club hire are available.

Ladies competition on Tuesday and Thursday and Men's competition every Wednesday and Saturday.

Green fee players are most welcome with bookings taken over the phone or online.

The Annual Tournament (Held in conjunction with La Fiera - Torneo di Golf Annuale) is held in May each year, with this years dates from 18th to 22nd May 2016.

Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo


The Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo has been running continuously for 63 years making it one of Australia's oldest rodeos.

Held on Boxing Day each year at the picturesque grounds of the Myrtleford Recreation Reserve it is must do family event at Christmas time for visitors to northeast Victoria and Alpine Region at this time.

It is a not-for-profit event and is run by the local Lions Club with the help of many other volunteers, with all proceeds are put back into Lions Programs and local community projects.

Gates open at 9:00am for the preliminary events with the main program starting at 4:00pm till about 11:00pm, culminating with an open Bull Ride and Golden Spurs presentation.

Rodeo is fully catered with a variety of food available , there is no BYO alcohol or glass permitted or dogs permitted.

Bring a chair, a blanket for the evening, and enjoy the spectacle of a country rodeo.

The Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo is a great day out for the whole family. Riders and ropers from around Australia will be competing for $50,000 in prize money including the $5,000 bull ride chute-out.

Catch all the action live on the big screen featuring instant replays. This year sees the 63rd consecutive rodeo held at the show grounds.

Gates open at 11:00am and the main event starts at 4:00pm.

Dederang Picnic Races


The Dederang Picnic Race Day is a family focused day out that has been run at Dederang for over 100 years. The local community welcome all visitors to come along and be part of this special day.

Great horse racing with colourful bookies (as well at TAB facilities), children's rides and activities, the famous Madman's Mile, Fashions on the Field, live music, tug o' war, great local food on offer as well as bar facilities. Kick on afterwards to the Dederang Hotel if you want to party the night away.

The Myrtleford Flea Market is held on the second Saturday of each month (excluding winter).

La Fiera Italian Festival


The La Fiera festival returns to Myrtleford bigger and better than ever in 2016.

Come and see cooking demonstrations by noted chefs as well as Nonni in Cucina cooking demonstrations. There will be wild mushroom forages to keep you busy, live music, annual barista race and grape stomping competition.

Enjoy The Food and Wine Festa where you can try local wines and traditional dishes or jump on a coach and tour the local boutique wineries not normally open to the public.

There will be a fabulous feast of food and wine from the Trentino region of northern Italy, an art exhibition, heritage displays, including local historical displays at the Old School Museum and a special mass to celebrate St. Anthony of Padua.

Watch full day of soccer matches and a bocce competition, pizza dough throwing demonstrations and indulge in Italian-style meals at local wineries and restaurants. Don't forget to see the display of veteran Italian cars.

This will truly be five days of fun, the Italian way.
