The Station Gallery Yarragon


The Station Gallery and Community Arts Hub Yarragon is part of the exciting arts scene in Yarragon, and is a vibrant meeting place to sample local arts. The Station Gallery is conveniently located across the road from the town centre at the Yarragon Railway Station, on the Princes Freeway just over an hour from Melbourne.

The gallery caters to lover's of art with a changing display of art by local artists and artisans. The exhibitions by local artists change each month. Exhibitions are either a single artist or a group exhibition.

Workshops and drop in sessions cater for those wishing to learn new skills from Wednesday to Friday on a casual basis. Workshops take place on weekends.

The Gallery is a run by the Baw Baw Arts Alliance and acts as a one stop shop for all arts related activities in the region

Nickelby at Darnum


Nickelby at Darnum is the home of Nickelby Designs, their own wearable art pieces woven the SAORI way. Visit the large shop stocking not only their own designs, but a large range of commercial garments as well. On good weather days the alpacas are also there to meet and greet visitors.

Nickelby at Darnum is also a licenced venue, so you can book in for a ploughman's lunch with a glass of wine and sit back and enjoy the views and the lovely alpacas or enjoy coffee and cake with their own unique secret blended coffee that you cannot find anywhere else.

Mount Worth State Park


Mount Worth State Park protects a remnant of the forests that once covered the western Strzelecki Ranges. Tall wet forests of Mountain Ash, Mountain Grey Gum and Blackwood grow on the hills and slopes and tree fers flourish in sheltered gullies.

Walking, picnicking and sightseeing are the most popular activities. The Giant's Circuit walk follows an old tramline route along Lorkin Creek to the Standing Giant - a huge Mountain Ash seven metres in circumference and probably more than 300 years old. Two lookouts on McDonald's Track give panoramic views over the Latrobe River valley, the Great Dividing Range and Westernport Bay.

The monthly Yarragon Market has a range of art, craft and produce from the West Gippsland region and is held every fourth Saturday 8:00am - 1:00pm except for a special December market (details to be announced closer to that market).

Ladies Who Lunch


Gather three to nine of your friends and come and enjoy a relaxing lunch at Nickelby At Darnum with the alpacas. Start with a glass of local bubbles and then sit down to a ploughman's platter of local delights, followed by home made cake and local award winning Swig Coffee.

15 guests can be seated either inside or out, so you will feel like you have the venue and the views all to yourself. A trip to a world renowned local gallery can also be arranged or you can just explore the shop and learn all about how Nickelby make their wearable art from alpaca.

Trafalgar Arts Winter Market


The Trafalgar Arts Winter Market is a free cultural event where visitors can view and experience what the local arts community has to offer. 2017 Summit Survivor


Summit Survivor is the most obstacle-dense mud-run course in Victoria. There are an epic 36 obstacles across five kilometres.

This will be the most fun, challenging, crazy day of your life. Walk, run or sprint your way through this epic course. Take on the giant slide, tunnels, mud, nets, beams, walls, ice, zaps and so much more.

Summit Survivor is for adventurous 12 to 60 year olds. 87 per cent of participants said they found it the 'ideal difficulty'. Beginners through to hard-core racers will get an awesome buzz and be pushed by the physical and mental challenges.

There is the five kilometre adult course and kids course for four to 12 year olds, with 16 obstacles across 1.3 kilometres. This is like Tough Mudder, but more fun. Build your team, dress up and really have fun with it - there are prizes for the best dressed.
