Healesville Sanctuary is one of Australia's most recognised attractions, showcasing more than 200 Australian wildlife species and renowned as the best place to view Australian wildlife in its native habitat. Located only 70 minutes from Melbourne in the picturesque Yarra Valley, the Sanctuary's 30 hectares (70 acres) of bushland offers a distinctly Australian setting for visitors to experience close-up encounters with some of Australia's unique and endearing wildlife, including koala, Kangaroo, wombat, emus, dingoes, birds of prey and platypus. The Sanctuary features large walk-through habitat exhibits, flight aviaries and nocturnal exhibits that are well designed to show this wonderful natural behaviour of Australian wildlife.

Infant: 0-3 years inclusive - free of charge.

Child: 4-15 years inclusive - child rates apply.

Wade with the Platypus:

Child: 0-11 years inclusive - not catered for.

Child 12-15 years inclusive - child rates apply.

Note: Children receive free entry on weekends, Victorian public holidays and Victorian school holidays.

COVID-19 Information:

- Visitors aged 16 years and over must be fully vaccinated. This is subject to Public Health considerations of epdemiology at the time. This is a legal requirement under the Health Directions as endorsed by the Chief Health Officer in order to protect the health and safety of Victorians. Visitors are asked to have their digital COVID-19 vaccine certificate ready prior to their visit as this will checked upon entry to each of the three zoos.
