Terms Conditions:

Valid for 01APR21-31MAR23: 
RENTAL PERIOD: 
Rates are calculated on 24-hour periods
(1 day). For additional hours, an extra
day will be charged and is payable
direct to Budget by the renter.

RATES:

Vehicle Registration Fee (VRF): Included
in Rate. Applicable to all Australian
Rentals.

Administration Fee: Included in the rate
and applies to all Australian rentals at
a charge of approximately 3.5%. Also
applies to any additional items not
included in the rate which are payable
directly to Budget at time of rental.

Goods & Services Tax (GST): Included in
Rate. Tax rate is 10%. Also applies to
any additional items not included in the
rate which are payable directly to
Budget at time of rental.

Premium Location Surcharge (PLS) /
Concession Recovery Fee (CRF): Included
in Rate. Fee may also apply to any
additional items which are payable
directly to Budget at time of rental.
The fee varies between locations and may
be calculated at up to 30%.

Loss Damage Waiver: Included in Rate.
Please refer to the Insurance section of
these Terms & Conditions for further
information.

Excess Reduction: Included in
'Inclusive' rates. Please refer to the
Insurance section of these Terms &
Conditions for further information.

KILOMETRE ALLOWANCE: 

Metropolitan and Country Locations:
Rates include unlimited kilometres.

Remote Locations: Rates include 100kms
per day, excess kilometres are charged
at 27.5c per kilometre.

AGE REQUIREMENTS:
CCAR, ICAR- minimum 21 years of age.

SCAR, FCAR, FVAR, CFAR, IFAR, FFAR, PFAR
- minimum 25 years of age.

A surcharge applies for renters between
21 &#8211; 24 years of $27.50 per day.
This is paid to Budget by the renter at
the time of rental. No maximum age
applies.

DRIVERS LICENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

Budget Australia will rent to drivers
that present a current drivers licence
and have had that licence for 12 months.
Budget Australia will not rent to any
person on a Provisional or Probationary
licence.

If foreign licence is in a language
other than English, it must be
accompanied by an International Drivers
Permit (containing an English
translation).

TOLLS:

A number of motorways and city link
roads in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane
are electronic tolls only and do not
have toll booths. All renters must
provide a credit card or debit card to
enable The Roads & Maritime Services
(RMS) to directly charge the applicable
toll fees. For further information
please refer your customer to an Budget
Rental Sales Agent on collection of
their vehicle.

PETROL:

Budget rental vehicles are supplied with
a full tank of petrol. Any refuelling
costs are at the renter's expense.

If the renter returns the vehicle with
less than a full tank, refuelling costs
are payable directly to Budget.

INSURANCE:
Loss Damage Waiver: Loss Damage Waiver
is the insurance coverage (included in
the rates) provided on the rental
vehicle and Third Party Property which
is subject to the excess. Loss Damage
Waiver is also subject to terms and
conditions detailed on the rental
agreement.

Standard Accident Excess: When a Budget
vehicle is involved in an accident the
excess is applicable providing the
vehicle is used in accordance with the
Terms and Conditions of the rental
agreement and the laws of the state.
Failure to adhere to the Terms and
Conditions and laws of the state will
result in the renter being responsible
for all damage and costs associated with
the vehicle.

CCAR, ICAR, SCAR, FCAR, FVAR, CFAR,
IFAR:

Excess: $4,400.00 (includes GST)

Excess Reduction option purchased
locally: $27.50 per day reduces excess
to $605.00 (includes GST), or

Excess Reduction option purchased
locally: $33.00 per day reduces excess
to zero ($0).


FFAR, PFAR:

Excess: $5,500.00 (includes GST)

Excess Reduction option purchased
locally: $33.00 per day reduces excess
to $1,100.00 (includes GST), or

Excess Reduction option purchased
locally: $38.50 per day reduces excess
to zero ($0).

Inclusive Rates: Include the Excess
Reduction - Nil excess applies providing
the vehicle is used in accordance with
the Terms and Conditions of the rental
agreement and the laws of the state.
Failure to adhere to the Terms and
Conditions and laws of the state will
result in the renter being responsible
for all damage and costs associated with
the vehicle.


Note: The renter must always pay to
Budget the following costs and fees:


The cost of repairing any:

- Overhead Damage - damage to the
Vehicle or property of any third party
caused by the Vehicle coming into
contact with anything above the top of
the door seal and the top of the front
and back windscreens.

- Underbody Damage - damage to the
Vehicle caused by the Vehicle coming
into contact with anything below the
bottom of the door seal and the bottom
of the front and rear bumper bars.

- Water damage to the Vehicle.

- Damage to the Vehicle or to the
property of any third party caused by a
breach of the Rental Agreement.

- Damage to a tyre or an Accessory not
attributable to normal wear and tear.


The cost of any professional cleaning or
odour extraction incurred by Budget
because the driver or another person has
been smoking in the Vehicle during the
Rental Period and/or a reasonable
administrative fee reflecting the cost
of making arrangements for professional
cleaning or smoke extraction.

ONE WAY RENTAL POLICY:

One way rentals are available between
Budget's participating tour locations.

One way rentals of vehicle groups ECMR,
IFAR & PFAR are on request.

One way rental fees are payable in
addition to the rental charges and are
inclusive of GST.

One way rental fees are payable direct
to Budget at time of rental.

Continuous rentals of a minimum rental
duration of 72 hours (3 days x 24 hours)
do not incur a One Way Rental fee unless
noted below.

New South Wales (NSW), Australian
Capital Territory (ACT), Victoria (VIC),
Queensland (QLD), South Australia (SA)

One way rental fees are determined as
per the below, when renting between
these States and Territories.

Fees apply to rentals less than 72 hours
(3 days x 24 hours) unless noted as an
exception.

hours / 120 hours) applies and a non
waivable fee of $1,100 is applicable.

One way rentals are only permissible on
the following vehicles ICAR, SCAR, FCAR,
FWAR, IFAR and PFAR.

No One-way Fee will apply to rentals
commencing and returning at any Perth
Rental Location.

One Way Rentals &#8211; Into / Out of
Northern Territory & Western Australia 

A minimum rental duration of 7 days (7 x
24 hours) applies and a non-waivable one
way fee of $1,100.00 (including GST) is
applicable unless noted as an
exception.

One Way Rentals are only permissible on
the following vehicles ICAR, SCAR, FCAR,
FWAR, IFAR and PFAR.


Rentals commencing from specified
Airport and downtown locations in
Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria
and South Australia may be driven one
way into the Northern Territory and
Western Australia and vice versa &#8211;
see below list of depots.


NEW SOUTH WALES:

Sydney Airport, Kings Cross.


QUEENSLAND:

Cairns Airport, Cairns City, Brisbane
Airport, Brisbane City.


SOUTH AUSTRALIA:

Adelaide Airport, Adelaide City.


VICTORIA:

RESTRICTED DRIVING ROADS / AREAS

The below detailed driving restrictions
apply to rentals on Budget Tour Rates.
Should the Budget vehicle be driven over
the restricted roads / areas detailed
below, or on the Rental Agreement,
Budget Insurance will be void. Vehicle
hire is subject to satisfactory road and
weather conditions at all times.

General 

The vehicle must only be used on roads
that are properly formed and constructed
as sealed, metalled or gravel roads
(Unless the Vehicle is a 4 wheel drive
vehicle).

All vehicles, including vehicle groups
IFAR & PFAR, cannot be driven on beaches
or through streams, dams, rivers or
floodwaters.

Vehicles rented from Mainland Australia
may not leave the Mainland and be taken
to Tasmania or any other island.

There are a number of roads in Northern
Territory and Western Australia that are
access roads to Aboriginal communities,
driving is not permitted in these areas
without an approved permit.

Queensland 

Vehicles may not be driven beyond
Chillagoe in a westerly direction or
beyond Normanton in a southerly
direction.

All vehicles may be driven on the main
road to Cooktown. If driven off main
road, or north of Cooktown insurances
may be void. PFAR only may be driven on
the coast road from Cape Tribulation to
Cooktown. If driven north of Cooktown
insurances may be void.

Vehicles may not be driven on the
Birdsville Track.

Vehicles may not be taken to Fraser
Island.

Vehicles can be taken on Magnetic
Island.

Tasmania / Victoria / New South Wales /
ACT

Vehicles may not be driven above the
snow line in Tasmania, New South Wales
and Victoria &#8211; being Jindabyne in
New South Wales and Bright in Victoria,
from the beginning of June until the end
of September.

Vehicles rented in Tasmania may not be
taken to the Mainland and vice versa.

Vehicles may not be taken to Bruny
Island, unless noted as an exception.

Western Australia

Rentals commencing in Western Australia,
south of Exmouth, may not be driven
north of Exmouth unless a one way rental
has been confirmed as per the One Way
Rental Policy.

PFAR only be may be driven on Tunnel
Creek Road, Windjana Gorge Road, Cape
Leveque Road & Spring Creek Track to the
Bungle Bungles.

Vehicles may not be driven on the Gibb
River Road (Kimberley), unless noted as
an exception.

It is not recommended to travel on any
road other than main highways 1 and 96
north of Geraldton.

Mine access roads in the Pilbara are
private roads and cannot be driven on.

South Australia

Vehicles may not be driven on the
Oodnadatta track.

Vehicles may not be taken to Kangaroo
Island from the mainland. Please refer
to Kangaroo Island rate sheet for the
terms and conditions for rentals on
Kangaroo Island.

Northern Territory

Vehicles may not be driven on the Jim
Jim Falls, Twin Falls Roads (Kakadu) or
Tanami Track.

PFAR only permitted on The Mereenie Loop
Road.

Other vehicles are not permitted to
drive on this road - as per the warning
signs at each end of the road.

Driving through the Northern Territory
and Western Australia - FCAR, FWAR, IFAR
and PFAR only.
Note that this does not apply to one way
rentals that have been confirmed under
the &#8220;One Way Rentals &#8211; Into
/ Out of Northern Territory and Western
Australia&#8221; section of these terms
and conditions.

When rented from Queensland, New South
Wales, Australian Capital Territory,
Victoria and South Australia, FCAR and
FWAR, IFAR and PFAR can only be driven
through the Northern Territory or
Western Australia and vice versa during
the dry season months April to November.
Should assistance be required during
this time it may not be possible. Should
other vehicle categories be driven into
the Northern Territory or Western
Australia, or through the Northern
Territory or Western Australia insurance
will be void. It is essential that
Budget are advised that rental
commencement of the Budget vehicle will
be driven through the Northern Territory
or Western Australia so insurance cover
can apply. Standard insurance
restrictions will apply.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Budget reserves the right to amend all
charges.

Frequent Flyer / Traveller points are
not applicable.

Miscellaneous Charges 

Vehicle Registration Fee, Administration
Fee, Concession Recovery Fee or Premium
Location Surcharge, One way rental fees,
kilometre charges, petrol deposit and
tax are subject to change without prior
notification.

Optional Charges 

Excess Reduction, Child Safety Seats,
Portable GPS and any other additional
products purchased at time of rental are
subject to change without notification
and are payable directly to Budget at
the time of rental.

Rates include GST but optional charges
may also attract an Administration Fee
and Concession Recovery Fee or Premium
Location Surcharge.


Child Safety Seats / Child Booster Seats
&#8211; Available on request at a rate
of $8.80 per day, to a maximum charge of
$88.00 per rental. This is payable
directly to Budget at time of rental.


Portable GPS Units &#8211; Available on
request from selected locations. A rate
of $13.20 per day, to a maximum charge
of $132.00 applies and must be paid to
Budget at time of rental. The standard
accidental Loss Damage Waiver and Excess
Reduction do not cover loss of, or
damage to the GPS unit. A separate
charge will apply. One way rentals for
GPS units are on a request basis only
and a one way charge may apply.

General 

Hotel deliveries/collections: All
deliveries and collections are 'on
request', subject to availability of
staff and cannot be guaranteed. A fee
may apply. Must be requested at the time
of booking. 


All Learmonth Airport (LEA) rentals will
incur a $77.00 surcharge for collections
and drop offs of vehicles - this charge
is subject to change without prior
notification.

Deposits 

All rentals are subject to a deposit at
the time of vehicle collection to cover
miscellaneous/optional charges and may
also have to cover the applicable
insurance excess and a $100.00 fuel
bond. A credit or debit card is
required. Budget Australia accepts all
major credit cards. Debit cards will be
accepted if they meet the following
requirements: Be issued by a recognised
bank, Display the Visa or Master Card
logo and hologram, Display the
Cardholder Name and Display the Card
Number. Prepaid and Reloadable Debit
Cards as well as Travel Cards and EFTPOS
cards will not be accepted.

The amount of the deposit is not debited
to the card at rental collection; an
authority only is taken until the
conclusion of the rental when any
applicable charges will be debited.

All renters must provide a credit card
or approved debit card to enable the
Roads & Maritime Services (RMS) to
directly charge their applicable toll
fees.

I agree with the Terms & Conditions for this rental.

Cancellation Policy

Vaild for 01APR21-31MAR23:

- No cancellation fee will be charged if
the rental is cancelled prior to rental
commencement.

- No refund is available on unused
rental days once the rental has
commenced.
