The Jugiong Pool is located in the heart of the village. The pool is open seasonally from October until February and offers residents and visitors the opportunity to cool down on hot summer's days.

Sergeant Parry Memorial


The memorial commemorates Sergeant Edmund Parry who was shot by the bush ranger Johnny Gilbert near the village of Jugiong.

In November 1864 ,the deadly combination of Johnny Gilbert, Ben Hall and John Dunn held up a mail coach between Gundagai and Jugiong and in the ensuing melee shot and killed the 32 year-old Edmund Parry. When the bush rangers tried to hold up the mail coach both Parry and Inspector O`Neil, who were riding as armed escorts, returned fire. Parry was killed. O`Neil survived because he ran out of bullets and had to surrender. Johnny Gilbert was killed by police in 1865 and is buried at Binalong.

The memorial includes a plaque, sculpture and information on events in the lead up to the murder.

Jugiong Motokhana Interstate Challenge


The Renault Car Club of Australia Inc. will be staging an Interstate Challenge at the Jugiong Recreation Ground. See drivers test their vehicle's agility and their skills and judgement as a driver. Considered to be entry level to motor sport, motorkhanas are cheap to compete in and highly enjoyable and competitive.

Wired Open Labs: Wreath Weaving workshop


Now in its third year, the 2019 Wired Open Labs workshop series continues to engage outstanding Australian artists and artisans who provide unique experiences to suit every creative appetite.

Offered throughout the Eastern Riverina and South West Slopes these workshops cater to beginners through to experienced artists.

In this class you will learn about harvesting willow and its history of use in woven forms; basic willow weaving techniques and how to apply them to different shapes; and how to weave onto an existing frame template, creating a visually striking piece specific to the festive season.

Each participant will take home a handmade decorative willow wreath in time for the festive season, woven using locally sourced willow.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Introductory class, suitable for beginners and experienced crafters. All materials provided.

Battle on the Bidgee


The committee invites you to be part of the tenth annual Battle on the Bidgee. The first two days of competition consist of the challenge preliminary events; Stock Handling, Packhorse, Whip Crack, Bareback Obstacle, Horseshoeing and Cross Country.

On Day Three of the challenge, the top ten Open Competitors will compete in a wild horse catch and poley buck jump. The top five Lady Competitors will also compete in a wild horse catch and a working cow horse event, while the top five Junior's will battle it out in a time trial and steer ride.
The novice category is here to stay, with the top three novice men and top three novice ladies competing in a working cow horse event.

There will be an Open Campdraft, a bush gymkhana with the best local cowboys and cowgirls testing their skills against some of the toughest stock in the country and The Evan Imlay Brumby Challenge.

On Saturday night, there will be a live band. Kids will not be forgotten with kids games on the Friday night and a kid's gymkhana on Saturday for fun on their horses, providing a fun environment hosted by the Gundagai Pony Club.
