Oura Beach Reserve


Oura Beach Reserve is a great spot to take in the Murrumbidgee River.

Located around 20 minute drive from Wagga Wagga, the reserve is perfect for camping, fishing, or just enjoying a day out by the river with a picnic.

Pull up a seat on the Ageless Oura artwork, installed in 2016, which frames views of the river. Hand crafted by Wagga Wagga artist John Wood, these hardwood timber seats are framed by rust coloured steel rings which blend beautifully into the landscape.

RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre


The RAAF Wagga Aviation Heritage Centre showcases Air Force history, along with representing the significant involvement of the RAAF in the Riverina region of New South Wales.

The static display aircraft next to the Aviation Heritage Centre represent over 50 years of RAAF flying history and are completely accessible for the public to view and photograph.

The display comprises Air Force heritage artefacts displayed in various themed rooms, including a 'Community Room', which is devoted to a rotational display that relates to military history and/or the contribution made by people from Wagga Wagga and the Riverina region.

As the last remaining Riverina World War II Base within a network of bases incorporating Narrandera, Temora, Deniliquin, Tocumwal and Uranquinty; this Aviation Heritage Centre represents the only repository for regional specific RAAF memorabilia.

Roseleigh the Witchery's Alternative Debutante Ball


Roseleigh the Witchery are hosting there first Alternative Debutante Ball, meaning that this event is inclusive to all couples.

The theme for this years ball is "Fire and Ice", a traditional ball celebrating the end of winter and the heralding of spring where fire will banish the darkness of the frost and cold.

Open Mic Karaoke Competition


They are looking for the Riverina's next X Factor at their Open Mic Karaoke Competition at Roseleigh the Witchery, with huge cash prizes.

The top five performers from each competition night will battle it out in the final for a cash prize of AUD1000.

There will be two competition nights, 26 May and 16 June with AUD175 worth of prizes up for grabs each of these nights.

Their restaurant and bar will open at 5pm each night. Table reservation required. All competitors must register prior to event.

Tambea Kitchen and Garden: Gnocchi


Equal parts fun, informative and delicious, this workshop with Griffith chef Gloria Salvestro will have you keen to add gnocchi to your regular cooking repertoire.

In this intimate class they learn how to make potato gnocchi like a proper Italian. Your perfect little pillows will be accompanied by each of a beef ragu, a gorgonzola sauce and a burnt butter and crispy sage sauce, the latter two of which Gloria will demonstrate so you can recreate them at home with confidence.

Their main meal of gnocchi is preceded by a delicious Italian starter, a secondi and finished with a little something sweet together with tea or coffee.

Price includes dinner (starter, gnocchi, dessert and tea or coffee), gnocchi to take home, recipes and a gnocchi cutter to use and take home.

Ladysmith Tourist Railway Open Day


The Tumbarumba railway took nine years to build, and was operational between 1917 and 1974.

Ladysmith is one of the few stations remaining on the old line. Visit their heritage station and museum, with trikes on display.
