Artisans Nest Gallery


Artisans Nest is an artist run gallery featuring some of the region's finest fibre artists and craftspeople.

You will find a unique, ever changing range of original wearable art in luxurious silks and wools, hand made jewellery, soft leather bags, unique felted items and clothing, weaving and art for your home.

Artisans Nest has been in operation for more than five years.
Lately they have had several new artisans contributing to the variety in their Gallery.

The cottage is a hub of creative activity, adding to the ongoing development of Bodalla as a unique, artisan village.

Kayaking on Tuross Lake


All paddlers have plenty of kayaking options on this lavish lake scattered with estuaries and islands. The prospect of catching a glimpse of local wildlife such as birds, kangaroos and even emus makes for an exciting paddle.

Launch into shallow water near the boat ramp on Nelson Parade or from Obrien's Boatshed on Nelson Parade, where kayaks and canoes can be hired. Route options include an 18 kilometre round trip north to Horse Island, then west up the estuary to and around Borang Lake, returning on the southern side of Horse Island. Another pleasurable two hour island paddle takes you south of Horse Island then around Cambathin Island, across to Deuaumba Island past the old bridge, returning to the launch point via the main channel.

A variety of waterfront cafes and restaurants are available alongside the landing spots, with picnic tables, toilets and a playground nearby.

Tuross Lake


Tuross Lake offers plenty of paddling options for all levels of skill, in particular for beginner/novice paddlers. Soak up the magnificent surrounds as you explore this generous lake with its protected places scattered with estuaries and islands. There is a wide variety of birdlife and wildlife to be seen, including kangaroos and emus.

Tuross Lake is part of an extensive lake and river system and is a haven for recreational fishing.

Bodalla Forest Rest Area


Bodalla Forest Rest Area is located in Bodalla State Forest, just off the Princes Highway.

Surrounded by tall spotted gums, Bodalla Forest Rest Area offers picnic tables, toilets and access to a walking track around Mummaga Lake, from which you may spot a variety or native animals and birds. A great spot for a family picnic or overnight stay in your caravan or campervan on your highway travels.

Like all NSW State Forests, your stay is absolutely free.

Tuross Head Foreshore Ride


The spectacular waterways of the coastal town of Tuross Head are the setting for this easy and enjoyable family ride. The ride follows the Coila Lake, ocean and Tuross River foreshores on the off-road shared pathway. There are magnificent ocean views, dramatic headlands, rocky outcrops, the Norfolk Pines and birdlife for enthusiast photographers. There is interpretative signage along the route and a brief stroll into the Memorial Gardens at Plantation Point is worthwhile. Soak up the coastal views from One Tree Point, a lookout just a short walk off the cycleway.

Start your ride from Kyla Oval, Hector McWilliams Drive and continue to the beach car park at Tuross Boulevard south. Ride along the path until you connect with Olive Crescent, veer left into Nelson Parade. Continue until you arrive at the car park to the restaurants and boat sheds on Tuross Lake. Return distance is 12 kilometres.

Lower South Coast Veterans Week of Golf


If you cant get enough of golf then the Veterans Week of Golf Tournament is for you. Running over five days, the tournament is open to registered Veteran Golfers. The event is shared across three courses, each offering their own unique challenges to golfers:

Catalina Country Club (two days); Moruya Golf Club (two days) and
Tuross Head Country Club (one day).

Events include Medley 2BBB, Four Person Medley, Ambrose (Drop Out) Medley, Irish Four Ball and two rounds of Individual Stableford for both Men and Ladies for the NSWVGA Shields.

All registered Veteran Golfers are welcome to enter.

March Workshop for Orchid Lovers


Join the Eurobodalla Orchid Club for this workshop which aims to enhance your orchid growing experience. This is a great chance for you to share your passion of orchid growing with other enthusiasts from across NSW, while also appreciating the beautiful Eurobodalla environment.

Four guests speakers will share their areas of expertise. Beautiful orchids will also be for sale.

On the first day, you'll receive morning and afternoon tea as well as a delicious lunch, while on the second, shorter day, the Eurobodalla Orchid Club will again provide morning tea.
