SUGGESTED TOURING ROUTES

Discover Queensland’s outback and head west and inland from sunny Brisbane. It’s worthwhile taking an early rest stop in Toowoomba, known as Queensland’s Garden City, and with over 150 parks, there’s no shortage of places to take relax before continuing on your outback adventure.

Head further inland to Roma and take a tour of the nearby Carnarvon Ranges, a stunning piece of the Queensland outback.

Just over 260kms further west, arrive at Charleville. The Charleville Cosmos Centre and Observatory where visitors can see the breathtaking beauty of the Milky Way Galaxy, is a highlight. Head back to Brisbane along the same route or take the time to explore more of this stunning land. A little deeper in to the outback are places including Eromanga, Winton, Richmond and Hughenden, all with paleontological significance due to dinosaur discoveries.
